I should note, that for whatever the reason, I haven't seen those nasty animation issues for some time now, flying the DGIV in some of asmi's latest D3D11 builds.  It could have just been my laptop, because as of late, I have been flying Orbiter exclusively on my tower.

I've noticed yesterday that taking-off with the DG at time accel 0.1x with some kind of PRO903SPECxxx autopilot results in unconsciousness by some crew members, plus excessive Gs and things of that kind...
Is it a bug?

Sorry for the lousy format but I'm in a hurry right now.

DGIV BUG

Short description:

Gear animation fails randomly

Severity

Serious

Complete description

Just watch this Vimeo video... https://vimeo.com/45607492
Front gear appears totally off-set by 90°, and both main wheels are "rotated" and "detached" from the structure.

Reproduce bug

I was just trying a basic Moon-Earth transfer with TransX, scenario is included in CODE tags.
I took off with Hovers, then main engines until Orbit Circ, then I set up TransX, and after Eject burn switched to external views and noted the front wheels sticking out just in front.
Then, when at Earth, I made this little video (which means, I'm starting to understand TransX!).

Code: [Select]
BEGIN_DESC
Open up LTMFD TEI program, set PeA=600k and take off when ready with hover engines, destination Earth. It's time to go back home.
If you want to automatically takeoff, the hover autopilot is the PRO905.

This (and all animations bug) is due to a bug in DX9 but I don't know when Jarmonik will have time to work on this and post a new version.

Best

Ok. Is he aware of this bug?
I guess you are in contact with him.

By the way, isn't it a bit strange that, since RC44, nothing new happened from Jarmonik?
Until then there was a continous river of updates each time I checked OF.
I hope everything is ok with him, and "no updates" are simply due to RL issues.

I contacted him about another bug and he told me about the animation one. He told me also that he didn't had time lately to work on dx9. Yet I don't have any more informations.

Hi Dan.
What can you tell me on that request I made some time ago about increasing the reentry autopilot sensitivity in 2,5° steps instead of 5° per each tap of the 2-8 numpad keys?

Now that we have release versions of D3D9 and not just RCs, I will do some runs again with the betas and see if anything odd has popped up since the last time I tested it.  Since Dansteph seems to be on the verge of releasing an epic update to all his stuff, best wrap this part up of it I think and make sure all bugs are squashed so the other stuff can be focused on.

Ill post what I find, for better or worse in the coming days.

Ahh, thanks.  I missed that last one, as the one I was using was R5b.

Took me a while to get to this because I was seeing some odd odd animation bugs but found it was something messed up in my Orbiter installation.   First tried a fresh install, DGIV looks and performed beautifully.   I am now testing it in a cluttered mess of an installation, because I figure a lot of people out there are going to just drop the new package into their installation and I wanna see if things are funky when you have scenarios that are loaded with vessels and MFDs and all the works.    I flew up to the stock ISS, DGIV performed beautifully.  I am gonna aim for a long flight, probably Earth to Mars and see if the long sim time + loaded up scenario brings up any other wrinkles.   Ill let you know how it goes in the coming few days.

Hi, Dan!

I wanted to ask you, how is the new version of the deltaglider coming along? Will it be released soon or is it still in beta? If it's still in beta, I'm more than glad to help you beta test it!! Thanks!

               Cheers,
           Vincent

DGIV BUG

Short description:
Hypoxia breath sound still playing when nominal oxygen and temperature

Severity

minor

Complete description
I forgot to open my second O2/N2 tank and the result was hypoxia in cockpit. So I opened the 2nd fuel tank, that restored all to normal in the graph and the data ... But the hypoxia breath sound still plays without any reason !

Reproduce bug
Close a tank and wait until the DGIV throws the Hypoxia alarm. Open the B tank to restore normal oxygen settings.

Miscallenous
There is a minor bug but hear someone breath loudly like that can be annoying.
