Dan, You better hope you have the bandwidth to support all of the "guests". Better buy more bendwidth....and Beer!
:friend:  Oh, I have an Idea. All of the people on the Beta Team (Or maybe Team Dansteph or Team DeltaGlider IV)
Could be put together to answer questions on the FAQ fourm, and help do some of the colour coding ourselves to
give you a little break, Something like automatically rejecting requests that could take another 3 weeks of coding to
do/are useless/stupid/ and or are inconvient.

(If I may throw in my advice, let's all remember that it's good practice to get a fresh copy of orbiter ;) )

lol, so true.  Dan's really outdone himself with the DGIV-- a masterpiece in my humble opinion.

There were so many features I was bugging to try out and now I can't remember them all.  It's gonna take some time
to learn everything (unlike the beta testers who already do).

As a humble thank-you, I offer every single happy smilie on the forums:
:) 8o  :top:    :gift:    :applause:  :wor:      :bave:  :ptdr:

:wor: :wor: :wor:

I know, I really shouldn't have...

I'm gonna give a try at making payload skins, and I'll be really excited if I'm able to make one!  I have a lot of burning
ideas...

So, Dan, got your own little Island there, don't you? But you should still go buy some more beer. No, Wait, Maybe all
of the Beta testers can buy you a 12-pack. Heck, Lets back up the whole stinkin truck, and you could just let us pay
for it. (That is, assuming you don't die from liver poisoning...)

:imitating a small child: Sooooo....... when's the DGV going to be released? (lol J/K!!! I couldn't resist being the first to
say it  In actuality Dan, you could use a rest... the DGIV is too amazing for words.)

Yeah, Dan, you should take a break for now. Too much programming can cause a loss of appendages.

I am interested in what new DGIV users, DGIII vets and Noobs alike think of the new ship.

Dan- lead engineer and designer, is beyond words generous for the gift he has bestowed upon the Orbiter community.     :gift:
He has foresaken making money (buy FS Passengers), worked 16+ hours per day over the last several months,  nursed a severly
injured leg back to health, and foresaken a lot of time with his wife and children.

We, the test pilots (beta testers), have helped him knock the bugs out (so hopefully you don't have to).

I personally would love to know what you like best about DGIV's features, scenarios (hopefully one of mine heh heh :D ),
docs, Prelude II, flight characteristics, depth, and playability.

Let us know!

Cheers and happy flying, :)

DELTAGLIDERIV BUG

Short description:

Tracking a base with the antenna causes orbiter to freeze/not react during time acceleration.

Severity

Orbiter freezing in a infinite loop/effectively a CTD.

Complete  description

Situation: Orbiting earth, using the antenna to track a surface base.
When playing with the time-acceleration, orbiter freezes and does not react on user input anymore. Orbitersound keeps on
playing indoor fan noise.

Reproduce bug

Eg, take the docked to the ISS scenario. Deploy antenna and undock. Let antenna track the surface base. When target aquired,
play with the time acceleration.

Hmm, I can't repeat Urwumpe's problem - I've tried fiddling with all the settings/buttons and it always seems to work
fine.

Strange... i now had 4/4 tests reproducing it, the only additional add-on loaded is IMFD, which was activated in one of the
tests.

Well, I am running a clean DGIV orbiter (latest - non beta - version + OrbiterSound 3.5 + DGIV public beta) and the
problem doesn't appear no matter what modules I select. I don't have time for additional testing just now, but it's a
bit strange. I'll have another go in the morning and see if I can achieve the same thing as you..

Can you tell exactly wich base you target and exact procedure so I can try to reproduce it ?
I'll have a look at the code if I see a logical reason for this.

Much thanks

Dan

DELTAGLIDERIV BUG

Short description:

Prelude II bases show Scientists as "Scientifics".

Severity

typo

Complete  description

Scientists assigned to a Prelude base are being labeled as Scientifics. This is supposed to say "Scientist".

Reproduce bug

Open a Prelude base (Asimov) and look at the menu.

Miscallenous

Very minor, but something to be tweaked for final release.
