Canadave was on leave at the time, so he wasn't in politics at the treaty's ratification, yet if he so desires, he may
wish to be present at the GSI HQ for a press meeting.

Very soon, a photo of the leaders of the planets shall be released to the public, and all canadave needs to do to get
his face in there is give us a picture of himself. (in neutral lighting.)

Thus present in the photo is:

Krytom (in that snazzy tux. your head is now more or less normal sized)
Atom (not yet in uniform, but I'm working on it)
Docholiday (um... not much has changed, but I might find something better for you.)
Dansteph's face. (have to find a relacement suit, couldn't use dan2 pic because the sun lit up only half of your face...)
mcbrain. (I fixed your hair. no more sun glare!)
and the mighty freespace (with wild hair in all it's glory)

I never got around to doing shmi, but I intend to. Unfortunately, I lost the picture she gave me. (that happens when
you go months ignoring your projects. :pfff: :( ) perhaps I'll find it though.

Name: Thomas "Krytom" Hodge

Faction: Outer Planetary Alliance (OPA). Based on Uranus with controll of all Systems and "heavenly bodies"
beyond Saturn in the Solar System, however this does not include the Pluto System.

Title: Councillor Krytom, Foreign Representative

Domain: The Council resides on The flagship of the OPA Starfleet, the Legacy.

Flag :

Fleet:
- 12 DGIIIS; 5 Transports, 7 Mining
- 34 Shuttle A2s for mining, convoys and transport of materials
- Constant Production line of Deep Space Probes
- Main body of fleet concists of advanced Vespucci craft
- A couple of uniquely vast ships, including the flagship Legacy

Border relations and disputes: Strong bonds with the Jovian and Saturn systems. Has Trading rights with all
inner planets.

Notes: Because the OPA is so remote and spread out, journeys through space often use calculated orbital
sligshots involving inner planets and the Sun. This means that it is not rare to find the entire OPA Starfleet blasting
it's way past Mercury.

So long as you stay at least 500 statuatory miles above venus, there won't be a problem...

..unless you start shooting or something... then there will be a problem...

I have major worries about the beginning of an arms race. We must be careful.

The Io Treaty

In this treaty I propose an agreed limit to military forces, weapons and missles. This treaty also includes the exposure and
sharing of secret weapons and technologies. It is to avoid full scale war.

Anyone wishing to sign the treaty must be willing to follow these requirments.

The Earth Agreement
The ESR declares a Solar System Wide aid to the clean up of the remaining damage and refugees that remain from WWIII.

Territory Claim

The ESR takes claim of the entire Jovian system. No other power has taken claim so the ESR has sent poeple to offer our help
to the colonies. Thus we have alot more prodution abilities and trading. With the Jovian System under ESR control ALL trading
must be done through the ESR, any illegal trading shall be seen a smuggling and stopped by the Europan Military.

The Europan Fleet

The Europan fleet has used some of the government's newly aquired money and resources on military research and ships. They
have aquired and added to the fleet;

-24 (2 Squadrons) Armed DG IIIs
-5 Heavily Armed Vespucci Military Adaptions
-1 Heavily Armed Spacecraft Carrier Capable of Carrying 2 Squadrons of DGIIIs.

Atom (Primary Governmental Advisor of Europa)

another important leader.

Sir, I respectfully differ.  We of the Pluto Republic have no knowledge of, and cannot acknowledge, any claims on our
space and territory from the OPA or any other entity.  The Pluto Republic is the soverign overseers of Pluto, Charon,
and associated space (within international treaty norms).

We request that the OPA issue a retraction of its statement claiming dominance over the Plutonian system, in the
interests of furthering peace in the outer planets region.  Thank you.

I would qualify this as a discrete threat to all claimed and unclaimed territories beyond Saturn.

MESSAGE FROM THE PLUTONIAN REPUBLIC:

Our inkjet printer is back online.  Here, without any further ado, is our flag:

"History and significance of the Plutonian Republic flag:

The flag has eight horizontal stripes at the bottom of varying lengths, representing the other eight planets of the
solar system in their ecliptic orbits.  Pluto and Charon are represented by the big and little stars, connected in an
orbit around the Sun that is at an angle to the ecliptic.  The black background, of course, is the blackness of space
that envelops us, here at the outer reaches of the Sol system.

The red and white colours for the Pluto insignia commemorate the fact that our colonies here were founded by early Canadian space agency missions, in the year 2058--the red and white colours are a nod to the old Canadian flag.  Canada, of course, was assimilated into the North American Confederation along with the United States and Mexico in 2079."

Helmsman: sir, we're in orbit over Earth.

Freespace: can they detect anything?

Science officer: Not a thing. They are totally oblivious to us.

Freespace: excellent.... If earth cannot detect us, surely, the martians, with their inferior detection equipment, could
never see us coming.. mwa-hahahahahaha~~~!!!  Onward! To Mars!!!

helmsman: Yes, sir.

while all the planets are ?
We saw in history somes war that started for less reasons.... :doubt:

Anyway this isn't the main reason I write here... as you all know the asteroid belt confederatio
is the main and only producer of the famous "beer of the stars" we have two cargo Vespucci full of it
ready for departure... don't miss this oportunities there is a 25% rebate yet. :)

I believe that this beer should be distributed equally amongst the Solar System's population of humans......except the
humans on Earth. :)

### INCOMING TRANSMITION, ORIGIN: MOON ###

lord freespace: What's that on the screenshot? I really can't see a thing ;)
DanSteph: SDL space freight is interested in buying some beer for further redistrbution across solar system if on profitable
conditions.

### END OF TRANSMITION ###

Oooohhhh...."Astra beer"!!!
We'll take about 20,000 liters.  It's easy to keep it chilled out here!

Sorry about the flag flap.  If we put a stripe for every moon, asteroid, and other piece of rock in the solar system, I
don't think our printer would be able to handle it...... ;) A lack of a stripe on our flag does not mean we hold the ABC
in any less than the highest of regard....

It's supposed to be stealthy!

You're not supposed to see it all that well...

yet...

(though in reality, I'm having problems with the textures..)

And we of venus shall take 1000 venusian gallons of beer. (that's 4546 liters, so the order won't get messed up by
mis-convertion. ;) )

Wouldn't this be like half the size of Titan itself??? 8o

Not that there's anything wrong with that! ;)

I'd just freeze the beer, turn it into a new moon/asteroid orbiting the Sun and every now and then batch off a chunk
to where it's needed. :)

"Goddammit!" Doc cried viciously! There are times he wished he had the Force ability to just wiggle his fingers on any
person who'd dare be his source of displeasure.

"Sorry, Sir..." the Intelligence officer squeeked, while trying to cowtow his way out of the room. How the heck was he
supposed to be able to detect ANYTHING out there, as the new surveillance equipment isn't ready yet.

"Alright, alright, what do you propose to do?"

"Hm... Hailing them seems like a good idea."

"Oh it does, doesn't it, you moron?! But, I think you're actually right... They DO think they are cloaked and since
you're so incompetent they would never have been detected if it weren't for my cousin who was fooling around with
his radio equipment again. Finally, his flirting with Terran women proved useful.. If it wasn't for him and his signals
bouncing off the hull of the Martian cruiser we'd still be in the dark.... Get outta my sight!"

As the officer scuttled away, Doc turned his attention to the Comm panel..

"What to say... Freespace is not a dumbass, I need to do this cautiously. Or bluff my way through it. Either way, he
CANNOT know the peak of my sophisticated surveillance equipment is cousin Alex's deep space radio, used for dating
purposes...."

He fliped a switch.

"Unidentified vessel on inbound course to Mars. We have been monitoring your movements since you left Earth orbit.
Identify yourself and state your business! You appear to be of Venusian design, yet we do not wish to jump to
conclusions. We are a reasonable and kind people, always ready to come to some sort of agreement. Intrusion is not
needed at all.. Consequenctly, we do not take kindly to intruders! Respond!"

Freespace: Raaaah! :grrr: (the main screen turns on)

Sorry doc..

I was kinda expecting my ship to be done now and thus I would be able to show off in front of everyone else..

unfortunately, converting textures from an action sim to an edu sim isn't easy.

farewell!

(the screen turns off)

the damn thing doesn't want to use all of it's textures in orbiter, despite the fact that all texture information is
retained! And despite dan's help, I can't get the thing to shine in the sun!! :grrr:

head back to venus. *curses heavily*

Helmsman: yessir.
