Introduction:

The DeltaGliderIV-2 is one of the most advanced ship in Orbiter, it contains a living crew and also a lot of advanced features as well as a complete and unique panel. Special care was put on ergonomy so the ship would remain user friendly.

Payloads | 232 - Autonomous Planetary/Lunar Rover (Get tiny URL)

This is a Delta Glider IV/ DGIV-2 compatable payload add-on from Event Horizon Productions. This is a mere taste of some of the custom add-ons that will be made by myself for a future scenario pack that is currently in the works. This is a very low-maintenance payload, and all that is required is for it to be ejected out of the cargo bay while landed, and it will self-deploy its instruments. Upton village Lunar Base by George Kristiansen - incorporating DanSteph's brilliant Prelude II base with a proper surface base, recognised by the Map MFD, BaseSync MFD, and any other instrumentation or visual display system in Orbiter.

This addon will create a lunar village, which consists partially of two Prelude II bases, which will appear every time you fly, in any scenario. You won't have to keep manually placing them, becasue they are part of a proper surface base, which never disappears.

You will need the DG-IV package containing the Prelude II , available here:

IMPORTANT - INSTALLATION:

To make the Prelude s appear in every scenario (the same way a surface base or space station does), you will need to follow the instructions in the 'Upton Village Read Me' file, IN THE CORRECT ORDER.

I have made a skin for the base, which may not display by default, so choose Upton Village - Wing 1/2 in the vessel selector (F3) and in internal view, cycle to the base configuration menu, and press 'Enter' on 'Select next skin' until 'Upton' is selected.

The goal of this skin was to make the DGIV look a little more serious and believable. I wanted to make it look like a sturdy space craft that endures extreme conditions and perhaps has weathered a few reentries of various planets without needing to be scrubbed clean every time. That being said I think the heat marks and residues really do make it look more durable and that perhaps it really has just landed on mars and weathered a dust storm. Other details are inspired by decals and warning labels I have seen on real aircraft to show that it is also in some ways a fragile and dangerous piece of equipment.
