Dan what happened to symphony base?? By the way I would like to join the beta testing group. :)

In hold for now... I must work to gain my life also.
You're in for beta... you'll receive a PM in the meaning time.

Ok, last addition: a fuel container, DGIV allow to refuel from any docked object,
as container have docking port on bottom you can refuel from any container
but of course it's more realistic to have a special one for that ;)

This show the docking port, all container have one:

That was last addition, I'll now pack the whole stuff for one beta release...
maybe in a few hours, maybe tomorrow depend if all goes nicelly or if
I discover late bug while testing on a fresh Orbiter installation.

New feature:

Scenario editor allow to load instantly a DGIV payload

Click:

Select:

Nice

Easy

I have also grouped all files of "Payload addon" in one directory, doing new one
by users will be simple and documented. They should provide a jpg image of their
payload addon so it can be selected by this editor.

Cool, Now it should be easier to get new cargo in, No more MMUs getting lost in space trying to grab the cargo.  And
Now you don't have to reposition your DGIV on the ground to load the cargo! Nice, when will you release the utility?

I added a third number to reentry prediction number to be more precise with reentry angle.
Changed the reentry tutorial scenario so brake distance should be 17.20M and angle 1.200°

HOW TO DO USE THIS SCENARIO ?

---------------------------------------

In this scenario you are docked to ISS, undock, close nose cone, turn prograde,  Target cap caraneval on MAP MFD
and do the RETRO burn (you are prograde, use key - of numpad) at 17.20M from cap until your reentry angle show
1.200° (D2 to show reentry screen, use 6-9 numpad key in translation mode to fine tune angle) Accelerate time to
100X until altitude show 150km, Engage automatic reentry autopilot "PRO105SPEC50" and sit down while DGIV
reenter automatically. You can display the hull temperature and some reentry parameters with computer "D3" screen.
The autopilot will switch of at MACH 2.5 just above cap caraneval. Don't forget landing gear and land smoothly.

autopilot just disengaged, right on the money at 26km high and MACH 2.5, far enough energy to spend in final aproach.

Dan,

I will try this again, and perhaps if all is well, I will see if I can work out a "landing chart" to gage your angles by. May
take some time though. I am not a trig major!

Probably come about the same time but not with. I don't know how much difference there is between 3.0 and 3.5
except probably the coding, fixing possible bugs, and I think MFD sound support. Not much stuff noticed right off the
bat.

OKAY New autopilot PRO110SPEC0

ATMOSPHERIC FLIGHT
----------------------------

It allow to fly on earth like a plane, usefull for long flight or base return ;)
It hold altitude,heading and speed.

It smoothly control the plane using elevons/rudder/ailerons, no thrusters here.

If you engage it on landing pad it will automatically take off smoothly and when pass
100 meter will head on heading set.

If you engage it in flight it will keep your current parameters and hold them.
Of course you can change all setting with numpad key as usual and it can handle
10x time acceleration.

"Rotate" full elevator up, smooth take off. Relax autopilot control everything.

"Dear passengers, here is the lazy pilot having a drink, the temperature
is ...cold and we are at... well... high... The buzzing sound you hear is not an alarm
but the copilot snorring, I plan to have a sleep also so please wake me up
if the plane crash or slightly before"

Any chance of changing the takeoff, indeed all, annunciators to use the same sexy voice as the new autopilot? The current
ones sound like a crusty old DC10 captain:

"Aydee naarts"

Good idea...

Reworked a bit the autopilot, now you can cruise as high than 25km (80'000 ft)
this is very economic.

One think i noticed (apart from it's being a great job at all) is that something wrong with MMU turbopacks.

Specifically, in earlyer betas a single turbopack was enough to get a person into lunar orbit, and two to go to orbit and
land at the take-off spot, but now two TP's is barely enough to get to orbit.
What have i missed?

Cool Dan...Now all we need is a landing AP to lock on to the ILS!!! Nothing comes close to the DGIV....nothing. I tried
finding about every way to cause problems today, and I am unable to do it.

I did things one should never do with a DGIV!  :siffle:

Looking forward to the next beta.....

:off:  BTW how is he leg? No one asking since the new beta release. Some of us still wishing you well and praying for
you and yours

Sincerely,

"Sun Dog"
