Hi there!
I'm working on Lunar Mining Stations addon. It's nearly finished, although I wanted a nice DG skin for it.

I love the idea. Personally I prefer to use Mars for bases and stuff like that though, but I'd love to give it a go with
the skin...

Do you have any idea, wish, request about the design. A sample, scanned drawing? It would help me, to narrow
down the options.. I've done a few skins, so once I nail a the design it should be done fast

Hi Doc!

I don't have any idea for now. I'll be thinking about it some more.
I gave a few propositions on main forum.
I thought about something simple, metalish.

Also, I thought about the logo. Here is a propostion (simple paint sketch):

Oh yeah. I think I get it.. Something like this then:

And then you can always make a more stylized version of it, for a metallic plate look

like this (with a bit more cleaning of course):

I saw you were doing some ground base meshes as well

Yep. The addon is mainly a set of bases. Maybe I could use the sign on mining units too?

But I can only do the skin for the DG3.. I never did textures for anything else.

Not really. I had to resize it a bit to fit 2^n dxt format, and also made it smaller.
Is there any progress with DG skin?

Thanks for the logo. The bases are done, but if you have something nice to add, please tell me

I'll be now preparing a nice readme.

Well, I haven't started yet. If you don't mind waiting, give me time over the weekend, as I'm working two jobs and
can't really afford the time during the week..

I have a basic idea for the skin (gray, with some "burn marks"), plus I will try to make the logo stylized.. Sort of like a
steel plate with engraved text and pictures.

Okay, the logo plate is finished, unless you have some suggestions. I will use the text and similar colors for the DG3
skin.

I finally had time last night and the right inspiration to finish your skins. I took the liberty of making actually two of
them, so LMC now has two registered DG3s.
The 001 (Galileo) and 002 (Tycho)

PS: I also made a circular text around the top hatch saying "Emergency Hatch - Explosive Bolts".. Just thought it fit
there nicely
