Well I think it's cute, although I wouldn't wear it or paint my room walls in pink. And it is basically stealth color for
Mars trips, hehe. Besides, a little feminine touch to Orbiter is oh so missing :)

But you guys are missing the point. It's a very good result for a first attempt! Assuming you did it yourself?

Recall me the time when I repainted a wall of my first room (at 17 old)
my idea whas to make it white with a litle touch of red.... Dumb me....

Guess what :)

Hey nice repaint Shmi, I'm sure my wife will love it also (altought she would love it better
with one or two heart painted on it :)

Dan

Yup, most* of it, although Krytom helped me put it into Orbiter (under protest!)

EDIT: *Once Krytom arrived back & saw what I was doing, he demanded control of the mouse (- he thinks geriatric fingers move too slowly) But even then I was under full creative control.

You should see the interior. I sampled some panelling from a jpeg of the car and used it to pattern fill the interior colours.  VIOLA walnut veneer!

Oh, I am not that fond of pink myself but I was a great fan of the Thunderbirds (when they first came out!) and how
many good female role models can you find in SciFi?  And this way I knew my DGIII would be unique.

Yup! I myself am working on the second revison of my black, "rebel" DG3. :) I'm aiming for a complete repaint this
time.  I want to distinguish it from atom's... "stealth" skin a bit more. ;)

Hey, maybe you know that MrBatman and Terranova will marry (or are they already married?)
What about a wedding DGIII with big red hearts on the wings? :)

Why not? :)

They would be very happy, I guess!!!

BTW: I just made a journey to the moon and back with the DGIII.
I'm still fascinated by the great features this ship has!
Thanks Dan!!!!!!! :wor:

Have you ever made a reentry with the DGIII without seeing reentry flames?

Well, sort of. Atom and I made a flameless re-entry in the DGII a few months ago. There was about a 5 minute
journey across the Atlantic before we re-entered. There were no re-entry flames at all and, by pure chance, we landed nicely in the south west of England, in Cornwall. :)

Of course a re-entry with no flames in a DGIII will be near to impossible, which is good for realism.

Alright I need to see this! Can I get the files? I've been trying to work on the "Delux" edition, but I'm having troubles
precisely with the interior...

Cheers,
Janez

All I did was add a layer, put pure red in that layer right over the interior, and fiddled with the transparency until I got
an effect I liked. now my cockpit is a nice shade of red. fufu.. and it's not a bad "overkill" red either.

speaking of which, on the repaint pack, I know that on file No. 5, I see the bottom of the hull, the interior, both sides
of the nosecone, and the the very back where the engines are placed, aqnd finally the inner part where the landing
gear is kept. but I don't know where any of the other objects in that file are placed on the 3D DG3. the one on the
bottom right corner looks like the main thruster funnels, but it seems kinda big.. and the two objects to the left of the
hull in the file look like parts of the inner ship, but I've no idea where they're placed. I also see what looks like a big
burn mark, but I don't know where that's placed either. I see no logical place where they'd be put. Am I just not
looking hard enough?

You can now visit my site to download the new version of my personal Krytom DGIII skin (v1.1).
The basic description is on the site. :)
Notice the 'FAB1' skin is not available. ;)

Nice new download section, Krytom! ;)

Atom: Could you expand the "clickable" box in your repaint section to not only the text "Download" but also the image?

BTW: Why does a Europan DG need heat protection tiles?????
There isn't much air that could heat it up.

I think you should refer to the NASSP4 addon for Apollo mission simulation on AVSIM or Orbithangar. You get it all,
Saturn, CM, LEM plus the panels and sounds. Possibly instruments too. I haven't tried it yet.
