Heh, I had the same problem a few years ago. Getting a job, if possible or sensible, remedied both tecnical reasons

Ah, ok that what I was thinking... I experienced two month last years with 56k
(I dismissed my ISDN but the ADSL came later than they promised) I'm sorry for you.

Hopefully you'll have ADSL (or better) someday
