Maybe we could ask Mustard to do a DGIII movie like he did for Orbiter, that would be cool. :)

That's a Very Cool idea.
Time to start using babelfish and see if there's been any talk about something like that in Forum francophone...

Mustard love only *realistic* add-ons that represent real mission, he never
tried the DGIII even I told him many time. So I doubt he would make that ;)

Shame, I really liked the idea too... Could he perhaps be somehow persuaded to trick his mind into believing the DG3
exists and then having no problem with it? :)

Well, you know doc, try as I might, I'm just simply not going to get the brakes I want for the DG (I'm going to try for
the longest time, but it will all be for nothing, except for slight entertainment value..) You can try all you want to get
that movie you want, but unless you do it yourself, it just isn't gonna happen.

Hey, that gives me an idea...

if it's true about the realism, I think you'd have a better chance convincing him to do one for the shuttleA, actually.
Although that isn't nearly as fun..

Do you think ShuttleA is realistic?? The hover thrusters are dead weight and anyway there is too much fuel in it or the engines are too efficient! That's really unrealistic!! :)

An idea that has already passed, but if it would have been implemented, it would have blemished the world for quite
awhile.. (not really, just thinking of adding the brakes myself, but then I realized I don't have photoshop, and that's
not something to do in paint. That and my complete lack off skill always ruin whatever I do)

Well, you DO know that drawing a fancy brake lever in photoshop won't actually make your dg stop when you click on
it, don't you? :))

Install Covers for the Retro and Hover Thrusters.

IRL, the Retros and Hovers would add so much extra Drag during Reentry and would surely disintegrate if they were
not coverd by some kind of fairing. The Gear is behind it's doors, but what about the Retro and Hover nozzles?

So: Check before Reentry: Check Hover Cover, Check Retro Cover.

You could combine the cover animation with the Hover Valve Switch

Yes, indeed I thought about that, too. Dan, would this be difficult to add?

The limit is: time AND envy ;)

The cover anim is one idea but there is thousands others idea
that we can do also.

I have a planning sheet that I will follow more or less about what
should be added before the final.

DGIII will not be anything perfect, but I hope it will be fun
to fly at least :)

Hey, dan. can you show us the list, and maybe we can vote on which ones we like best so that they can be
implemented first? Or maybe at least drool over?

Making add-on is a dictatorship sorry ;)

Martin has explained that quite well in one nice post (I don't find it in the M6 forum, research function broken)
in fact it's all  about the pleasure that whe have to make things.

With a vote perhaps things that I have envy to do would be discarded
while some that I don't like  would be agreed, no pleasure anymore.
Only a boring job that I must do.
In real life whe often have that but we are paid to do that :)

Request are different, they are.. uh request ? no obligation here.

And the list is in my head for now, nothing written.

Dan

oh, fine, but promise me when you finally write it down (if you do) that you will show it to us so we can drool over the
stuff. ;)
