Hi there guys! I've been away for over a month, but soon i will be active again. I can only say that thunderstorms aren't
very computer friendly... i ended up with completly burned CPU, and mainboard. Currently i am trying to salvage as much data
from my old HDD as possible, because it was also damaged.

Its so nice seeing that someone new (or maybe not... should i remember you, voangers?) has joined this thread. Well, here is
my part of the story:

- Well, sir, no one can tell this for sure. You've taken one of the fighters to meet with the rest of the wing. We haven't
recieved any signals after you've entered the Saturn's rings, so we've tried to find you. You've been flying in the wrecked
hull of the fighter for over three weeks... hopefully life support system was operational. We haven't managed to salvage any
info from the fighter database. We were hoping that maybe you will remember something.
- And what happened with the rest of the squad?
- Sir, we do not now. No one returned. We were even discussing whether we should stay in SOL or return to Arrento. Now, when
you are councious, all depends on you. But please rest. You are still weak, and...
- Doctor, someone is calling you.
- Forgive me, sir, but i have to go. As i said, please rest. Tomorrow you will feel much better.

shoot.

-(Tactical) Its a hit sir.  Ennemy ship disabled... Sir the other ship just disapeared.

-(Captain) They must have jumped away... Bah we'll get them later.  For now i gotta make my report.  and leave that
ship there, the asteroids will destroy any trace of its existance

- Captain Sullivan, i am pleased to see that there are still people supporting the right side. Now, before we will start any
offensive actions, i must know what forces do you have.
- Well, most of our ships are the ones that has been captured from RRC. We've got two fully operational D-class cruisers,
three corvettes, class C, and about 20 fighters. Have you contacted colonel Vertigo? He was patrolling the rings, but we
haven't seen him for quite a long time.
- Ah, yes, we had recieved a message from his ship. They gave us the location of your base. Captain was wounded, but he will
be all right. Homeland will arrive here soon. Then we will start our offense.
- What is your plan?
- It is certain that we can't deal with the whole RRC fleet. However, with our new warheads we will be able to knock down
their comm stations. Independence and Liberty will strike the RRC comm stations on orbit, while Freedom and Homeland will
attack Starport Beta. We have to damage their main base of operations. If we will be succeed, then the whole RRC fleet will
lost contact with the HQ. Now your task is to perform a diversion. You will attack a RRC patrol to bring their attention. It
is vital that they must see your fleet, because then they will send a reinforcements to attack you. As soon as their fleet
arrives, you will retreat.
- When will we start?
- As soon as Homeland will arrive. They should be here soon, so prepare all of your ships. Good luck, captain.

OCC: ok well, i made my profil on the website, a while ago (don't even remember the adress)
ok, so basicly, my people are living in bases dug into asteroids, protected from colisions by magnetic fields.  Due to our
exclusion from the "core" of the system, we've always been somewhat on our own, and after the humiliating defeat
on Earth, we cut all trade and diplomatic contacts.  This also influenced our technologie.  Our weapons are not energy
based, but use kinetic energy, under the form of gauss cannons (I'm keeping some suprises about the weapons ).  
for other tech, we use
Biocomputers, and we use antimatter for power generation.  We don't want war, but as said before, we're quite
paranoid...

- They must have kept a reserve. Wait until they will hail us. We don't have time to bother with them. We will have to use
beamwaves.
- Unknown ships, you are entering the outer borders of RRC property. Please identify yourself.
- Do not respond! Wait for their move.
- unknown ships, stop your engines or else you will be shot.
- Now, fire!
- Missile away. The corvettes are evading!
- They won't have chance against our weaponary.
- There it goes!



- Enemy status?
- Checking scans... No signal, sir. They have been vaporized in explosion.
- Two corvettes with escort... over 100 people. War was always expensive.
- Starport is in our range. Should we fire?
- At will, commander. Navigator, plot a course away from here.

Shortly after the two corvettes has beamed away from Rhea. After 20 seconds the missile detonated 500m over Starport beta,
totally annihilating everything in its range.

Well, voangers, you can for example join them, and they will supply you with some new tech. BUT, i wouldn't suggest joining them ... guess why .

- And what with our vessel?
- We have some hull breaches, and there is a power leak in the generator. I suggest we should return to shipyard.
- Well then, set course to Rhea. Oh, and contact the starfleet to send here some scanning probes. We should get as much info from these destroyed ships as possible.
- I'm sorry, sir, but the long range comm channels are offline. We have to wait until we will be closer to Rhea.
- Damn! I wander what exactly happened in Starport beta. Reduce power output for weapons, and set engines to 110%. We've got to get there before our generator will fail.

- Hail them. Liberty, this is Freedom. Our mission was succesful, Starport beta no longer exists. Where is Independance?
- It is a long story. We've met a patrolling fleet near Tethys. One F-class and two cruisers. We have escaped, but the
Independance didn't make it.
- Wait a moment. We've seen two F-classes leaving Rhea, and another two flying towards it. You have met the fifth. If I
remember right, then the RRC has only four of them when we were leaving SOL, right? Is it possible to build an F-class in 3 months?
- Don't ask me, maybe the outcasts will know more.
- Great idea. Let's meet in the base then. Freedom, over & out.

- Admiral, here are the most recent calculations. We haven't detected any form of radiation, so it wasn't nuclear explosion. It also wasn't conventional plasma warhead, because the ground would be melted.
- I am not interested what was it, but who did it!
- Sir, let me continue. We are almost certain that the damage was generated by...
- Don't tell me about technical details. I want to know...
- Sir, it was a beamwave.
- WHAT? Are you telling me that it was xianus' ship?
- No, it wasn't him. These ships were using beamwave warheads. Last report from that destroyed corvettes says clearly that they were trying to evade some sort of missiles.
- So?
- I can see one explanation - you may say that i'm crazy, but i think the colonists have survived, and settled somewhere in that system. Now, they are using the alien technology against us.
- That's imposible... but makes sense. Anyway, i will inform prime minister about your assumptions. If this is true, then we are in real danger.

- Sir, scientists have proven it many times. There is no doubt that we have been attacked by tachyon weaponary. In other
words, the colonists have survived. I am almost certain about it now.
- What do you suggest now?
- Sir, if we are to win this conflist, we have to do two things. First, we have to find the outcast base. I am sure the
colonists  are supplying there. Without that base they will be no threat to us. Secondly, we have to find a way to travel to
Arrento. I don't know, maybe we could try to capture one of their ships...
- Johnson, may i remind you that currently we have problems defeating them, and you are saying about capturing them!
- Sir, this is only a matter of time, believe me.

SF Awesome, Rhea orbit...

- Sir, the fleet is awaiting your orders.
- At first, have the Invincible and Collosus returned?

- Then we will have to start without them. All vessels have to be on constant battle alert. Every unknown ship entering outer
borders is to be disabled without warning. 'Awesome' has another assignment. We have to find the outcast base, no matter how.
Four D-class cruisers will assist us.
- When should we leave?
- As soon as possible. Remember, disable any unknown ship entering our range. I don't want to end up like the guys in
starport beta...


Ten hours later, outcast base...

- Sir, may i interrupt?
- What is it?
- We've detected a few RRC ships. It looks like they are scanning the rings.
- Where are they?
- Somwhere between sectors D14 and D15. I can't say much more. The rings are generating interferences, and precise scanning
isn't possible.
- OK, we will act as usual. When they will get closer, turn the main power generators off, and leave only the most important
systems active.
- Sir, there may be a problem. AF Freedom is docked, and being repaired. When RRC will arrive they will surely detect it.
- Damn. Contact colonel Vertigo from Homeland. Tell him that he have to buy us some time.


AF Homeland...

- Colonel, are you sure? Only Liberty and this ship is operational, and we don't even know how many ships they have.
- I know the possible threat better than you, commander, but it looks like we don't have another way. Calculate beamdrive
course as close to them as possible, and order Liberty to follow us.
- Roger. Course calculated, beamdrive active in 3,2,1,...

20 minutes later...

- Destination reached. We have them on scanners. F-class and three D-classes. Wait, there is fourth cruiser, flying parallel
to them.
- I think thats our chance. If we will be lucky, we might be able to knock it out, or at least damage it so it will slow
their progress. We are attacking from port, Liberty will attack from starboard. Watch out not to show to the rest of their
fleet during approach...

- There it is. Entering fire range in 15 seconds.
- Remember, do not use wavebombs. We will need them later. Lasers only.
- Cruiser is firing!



- Colonel, the rest of the fleet is heading this way.
- Contact the outcasts and ME ships in range. We will need a serious firepower to take down the F-class.

OOC: I'm planning to make a little video with some of my firends about the insertion of mercurian troops inside an
RRC City. Since we don'T have enough budjet to have an Rhea set to tape everything, I'd like to know if the RRC can
have some kind of domes where earth-like seasons are recreated. That wold explain why there'll be snow

Sure, go on. I've got even a clever explanation for having snow inside those domes: it would be simply easier to
maintain a temperature about -10 celsius, rather than heating the whole dome (space is rather cold). Please just
remember, that destroying the last outpost will be my job. So you can take over the city, but leave Base Alpha to me.
