New...

Ejection in space eject also the two Turbopack... one man can wear one and grapple his friend
to get out of a bad situation (colliding trajectory or bad orbit)
Provided will be some mission with critical situation where you must use them.
UMmu have 20h O2 reserve in case of ejection.

In scenario folder there will be a "DeltagliderIV\Tutorial - Learn DGIV" folder with several
scenarios to learn and discover features. Autopilot, ejection, turbopack, check list etc etc.
One just need to read scenario introduction to make the mission. A nice way to learn.
I just regret that this scenario gray windows is really uggly to read text.

Release date of Public beta is planned for christmas. Not all planned features will be included
but all mentionned in this thread will work.

Here's another idea, for what its worth; putting a bank control in AP 903, like one degree for every press of 4/6, to fine
tune inclination during decent? If I'm getting annoying, tell me.

Proud creator of two (2) addons

One of which is soon to be out of date, and one is not yet useable. Great Success!

-"Ah yes... what can I do for you ?"
-"Well... sir... we had a... a litle trouble with the DG-04...."
-"WHAT ?!! I hope you DIDN't scratched my new paint !!!!"
-"Well... it's not *exactly*... about the paint...."

Is that a trail of carnage I can see there (the dark strip in the bottom left on the runway)?

Dan, you are forever pushing the boundaries of Orbiter beyond what we could have ever dreamed. Thank you.

No really sorry... it look cool uh ? :)
but it's only the shadow of the smoke...

It's less cool then what I was planning but I have really no time left for the DGIV
beta release for christmas, two new features then release when U-Mmu will be ready
also.

At least you will not get anymore a brand new paint when burning during reentry
or crashing at 20 m/s...

Now you can set the number of debris in the DG4Config program. My 3.2Ghz handle 40 object with a 50% drop in
framerate
so anyone have the choice. By default it's set on 8 wich don't make any difference on my computer.

Also someone requested for a very low power engine ? Done in the DG4Config,
Mark I, 50KN only, (by default 260KN) with that power it's a "space only" vessel for those that like that.

Tested reentry with 40 debris, my 3.2 handle it without problems:

This looks so COOL!
How does the glider go to pieces? Is the DGIV-Mesh replaced by the piece-meshes?

With this thing it's going to be a perfect christmas! Pity it's on Sunday...

DGIV mesh is replaced by the body mesh, DGIV vessel is destroyed and another special DLL launched.
Your are automatically focused on it if you had focus on DGIV. other are debris spawned by the original
DLL before it delete himself.

Same here, Dan... No rush... Christmas night sickness requires medicinal family upgrades first.  :)

...and I'm holding out on purchasing FS10 until you decide it's worthy for FSPassengers first.
