Due to a bug in DGIII NASSAC will be unable to use multiple range settings in its Virtual Mission Control. Plans were to
setup two tracking stations that would fall in and out of range as DGIII orbits the earth. But test have shown that
Flight and guidance systems are not able to receive any range data from DGIII's on board systems. There appears to
be a minor flaw in the programming but the manufacturers have been unable to dedicate enough time and manpower
to the problem to resolve the issue thus far. NASSAC is faced with either delaying the mission or reducing its program.
Despite this minor bug DGIII still remains a top notch vehicle and is still NASSAC'S number one vehicle for its launch
programs. While the range telemetry of vMC2 works well with Shuttle 3.5 the tricky reentry concerns of the Shuttle
remains a major problem for the young cadets at NASSAC.
