Hey, everybody, (especially you, dan)

Get a load of this!

http://www.space.com/businesstechnology/technology/sonicboom_techwed_042104.html

Looks like orbitersound might need a bit more tweeking for the newer ships. No more sonic booms?

hehe. I feel for you dan, all that work and then this happens.

Hey Dan, look at this!! It's posted at AVSim under "Orbiter Sound Packs"!
I think the author is wrong, isn't it?

hehehe, freerider! :)

I'm pretty sure he didn't do it on purpose, just downloaded OS someplace and wants the rest of us to enjoy OrbiterSound as well:)

But he shouldn't give himself as author if he don't know the real author!

There's always those who will have signifigant amounts of sarcasm, I'l never have a monopoly on something that's as
free-flowing as sarcasm, but you better believe I can come up with more than any "one" of you guys!

It is said, "To err is human,
"That quote from alt.times.lore,
Alas, you have made an error,
So I say, "404."
Double-check your URL,
As we all have heard before.
You ask for an invalid filename,
And I respond, "404."

Perhaps you made a typo
Your fingers may be sore
But until you type it right,
You'll only get 404.

Maybe you followed a bad link,
Surfing a foreign shore;
You'll just have to tell that author
About this 404.

I'm just a lowly server
(Who likes to speak in metaphor),
So for a request that I don't know,
I must return 404.

Be glad I'm not an old mainframe
That might just dump its core,
Because then you'd get a ten-meg file
Instead of this 404.

I really would like to help you,
But I don't know what you're looking for,
And since I don't know what you want,
I give you 404.

Remember Poe, insane with longing
For his tragically lost Lenore.
Instead, you quest for files.
Quoth the Raven, "404!"

to quote another member, this is really the best simulation and i cant wait for the upgraded version.  I check back
here almost daily.  Is there a way to be automatically notified, when the upgrade is released.  both the orbiter sim
and the orbitersound?  Please forgive my ignorance, i try to educate myself by reading but i have not found any info
on this.  must not have looked hard enough i guess.  any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Automatically no, the best way imho is to check the martin's main page in the news section
here: www.orbitersim.com
about orbitersound, almost same way, a new version will always be stated in my "news" section
here: http://orbiter.dansteph.com

wow, such dedication, I never check the sites anymore out of sheer laziness. Ideally, since I'm coming here every day
(every other hour in some cases...)to check out who's smarting off to me on this forum, I have a good chance of
finding out near immediately when there's a new release of anything from all those who come here as well. but it just works out that way.
