I know you'r buzy with the DGII, but I have an idea for the next version of Orbitersound. I don't
know if you have anything planed for that addon. Maybe the new Orbiter version will require an
update.

Anyway, the problem is when you switch vessels. I don't know ANYTHING about programing, but
would it be possible to make Orbitersound reset the vessel's sound when you switch vessels?

Somehow the sounds get screwed up if I switch from ArianeV to the DGII. :(

Hello Jógvan,

making OrbiterSound able to work with multiple vessel
is somethings complex , this would need the saving of each
vessel's last sound, volume, freq etc etc....  I can see plenty
of problem that may happen.

It would be also more complex with vessel custom sound.

I do not say it's impossible but its all a matter
of time vs benefit.... And with the weather we have I'm
currently less in "programming mode" than
"bath sun & sleep" mode (to say the less) :)
(My house's desk where is my computer is at 36C°)

Perhaps you can try to mute/unmute the sound
with the radio MFD (SHF-R)  perhaps it will reset
wrong sound ?

How about a feature in OS that makes the engine sound decrease as you reaches thinner air and
enter space? This would be quite realistical. Would it hard to code?

This will of course only be in external view, right? :music:

I've been looking for wav's that are recorded INSIDE a space craft during launch. It sounds a bit
funny to hear the CAPCOM's voice clearly and the astronauts' replies distorted by the radio

It makes it hard to imagine that you are actually riding along up into space. :(

Well,

from my experience in plane the crew sound like radio sound
in headphone but in this case it's true that the capcom should
not be clear. (But astronaut must have the latest ($$$)
headphone with ANR system, in this case you should
hear about nothing from the engine... is the reality so satisfying ? :)

I asked years ago to martin a simple binary value in the SDK
to know if we are inside the cockpit or in outside view so I can
CUT completely all the sound when in space and outside view
and make the engine decrease when leaving the atmosphere.
I  didn't had any reply about this request (too busy?)

This would make OS and Orbiter even more realistic .

I will ask again about this value this could be a major
enhancment of OrbiterSound. (Of course I would make this
appear as an option in Soundconfig... some like sound more
Star wars like :)  (pffff huuuu... pffff huuuu.... "Luke come with me")
