I am trying to make an animated payload, and I need something that opens 3ds files.

Where's the little smiley that pounds his head against the wall? Shoot... I guess there ain't one.

:google:

Might actually search the forum posts, too.

Look for:

a-n-i-m-8-o-r (Take out the dashes. If one leave them in there on this forum, it reads as "anim8or".)

wings3d

Dare I mention Blender? Nah... too complex for someone who can't even do a simple search.

('Scuse me; for some reason, I'm suddenly feeling a little grumpy.)

wings3d Is the only one that supports 3ds files, and no need to be so rude.

anim8.tor features:

"Import and modify .3DS (3D Studio), .LWO (Lightwave), and .OBJ (Wavefront) object"

Google with "anim8.tor import 3ds" 989 answers:
http://www.google.fr/search?q=anim8tor+import+3ds&btnG=Rechercher&meta=

Learning to use search engine is the very first step to any creation ;)

Smiley is right here: :wall:

And yes, Anim8.or is very popular among addon developers. Probably used more widely among them than any other
3d modelling program.

Just a note Dan, it is called anim8 or. The 8 has the 't' sound in it, so the 't' isn't typed. Many more results for anim8.or
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=GGIH%2CGGIH%3A2007-04%2CGGIH%3Aen&q=anim8or+import+3ds
11,800 results.

Oh, shoot... there it is. I was looking right at the smiley list and missed it! :wall:

I shouldn't have been reading forum posts on an empty stomach. :wall:

Sorry, Delta Glider3 lover; I could have sworn I'd seen a thread about just about the same subject recently, but I guess I
was wrong. I can't find it with a forum search. Maybe it was on the m6 orbiter forum. :wa11: (All right, self... enough with
the wall banging.)

Oh, as an effect of the anim8or smiley "bug", that above link doesn't work right if one clicks it. If one copies and pastes it into the address bar, it will work, interestingly.
