I think you mean: "Jag förstå lite Svensk(a)" ;)
Must be a strange accent on the tape too, i pronounce 'lite' as leeteh

Men, ja - jag kan förstå du :)

I hate those buggery characters, but it's nothing compared to Finnish :)

So the "å" thingy translates into a VERY drunk-sounding "oeur"? :)

Aye, leeteh is what it sounded like.

Yeah, I have a few Finnish friends - they find it most amusing when I try to speak a little of their language.

The å usually sounds a bit like the a in the english word "all", or more like the o in "hot" depending on whether it is
long or short.

Excuse me for intervening into this hot exchange of Swedish phrases (none of which I can understand, even taking into account
the fact that almost every week I face some 'Svenska' when I have a bus trip - since we have lots of second-hand Volvo buses
in our city, and meaning of some inside markings are easy to guess).

But I'm here after another matter. Have anyone among you ever tried to write poetry in a non-native language, or translate
something from your own to a different language? I think that a little boasting of my own ability isn't of that much harm. ;)

I think this is what might be called a fluent translation of a song:

A GREEN GRASSED LAWN

A circuit comes another,
A circuit comes another,
In our porthole Earth is gliding slow,
Like taken from a mother,
Like taken from a mother,
We're missing Earth, for she is so alone...
The stars are a little closer,
The stars are a little closer,
But warmer they did never yet become,
And when the duty's over,
And when the duty's over,
We'll fall asleep and earthly dreams will come.

We neither see in dreams the cosmodrome,
Nor stars above and icy bluish glow,
In our dreams we see a green grassed lawn
And clear sky above the lovely home.

And our path is Orbit,
The realm yet unexplored,
The meteors are piercing vast expanse.
We justify our chances,
The business is advancing,
But still we hear space music of romance.
We fly above the lanscapes,
Seas covered with hazes,
Sunset is chasing after the sunrise.
Like taken from a mother,
Like taken from a mother,
We're missing Earth, she's what we've learnt to prize.

We neither see in dreams the cosmodrome,
Nor stars above and icy bluish glow,
In our dreams we see a green grassed lawn
And clear sky above the lovely home.

If cars were built with the same reliability we put into our satellites, they would have wheels on the top, on the bottom and on the sides; and every position would be considered operational.

The video down the page shows enough to get an idea of what the game does.
It basically does everything Orbiter does, except with hills and online gaming etc, however I'm willing to bet that the
spaceship physics will be far from realistic, compared to Orbiter.

It appears from the current status of development, that it uses Newtonian physics.

Yeah, but I think they said the ships would actually have a computer to counter effect any movements (a way to say
ships won't have newtonian physics...). But asteroids and wreck will move correctly

Well Guys
I am English (note "NOT BRITISH")
I have lived a long time now in France ( close to Avignon ), when I came here I could not speak French to save my life,
after 15 years I am able to comunicate with most in French but it is not perfect, and probably never will be,  having
said that I still cannot write in French ( mind you sometimes english is dificult to ) many of the French people here
know a small amount of English, and some of them try to use it,  some know English very well and refuse to use it.
and some mix the french with english ( me too sometimes).

Anyway whatever language you speak or write, the original statement here still stands
This is the English Section of Dans Site, so posts should be in English, if you wish to post in french go to the french
section, ( I very often look in here, there are some very talanted guys post there, and I have found a lot of help there
in my early days with Orbiter,  but I would never consider posting there in English,[NOT POLITE]).

So lets drop the comments and get back to the subject
