Hi eberybody I'm new in the arts of spacial fligt and in the forum as well.

Quick question:

Is there any way to brake the wheels when landing in dg III like dg or dg-s???

If it is, How it works??

Thanks for your help.

It's ',' for left and '.' for right wheel brake.
I'm not sure if the keys are labeled different on other than german keyboards (I have a german keyboard).
But the brakes are the 2 keys above the right ALT key.

Cheers,

No problem! :)
But read the manual first before you ask! ;)

If every newbie named themselves after their first problem we'd have a lot of people called "ignorance of manual" on
the forums.

I personnaly have 10 fingers attached to my hands were two are especially dedicated
for braking using the keyboard...

Mouse and button require 5 fingers to hold the mouse and press the button
so my method is economical...

Easy braking, that's it :)

Dan

hi landing with no brakes

you can open dgIII nose cone, canopy and antenna immediatly after runway touchdown to increase your drag and reduce speed

it's still a good idea to jettison some crew members to get a lighter vehicle and then a shorter roll distance

Anyway the question is: why do you really require braking ? ;)

Braking are only for noobs pilot that can't land on a precise point
and wait that the speed drop alone...

Could it be that you are a ? ... oh no this would be too horrible

Well, I'm such a lousy pilot that I can't line up for a runway, no matter how hard I try.

Typically, my landings are vertical, and my thanks goes to those who realized the importance of hover thrusters, and
their other potential applications. :) (so technically I don't need brakes, although this is in part because of the lack of
a nifty brake button)

regardless, my petition will continue untill it's fulfilled.

I'm just too stubborn for my on good.

Thats horrible... my life will not be the same again now that I know the truth

You will have a button when you'll be able to line up properly... if I have time to do it.
(notice the subtle condition that will probably result in no button at all)

Cheers :friend:

Dan

Free, you're likely to get the nifty brake button...on the DGIV as I don't think Dan wants to spend all the free time he's
gonna have after finishing his other project on fiddling with the DG3...

pssst. psssssst.

I'm assuming that he means "Holy"

I'm just teasing him by playing along with the incorrect spelling.

unless of course Dan really has gone insane and will make a button that makes a girl named Holly appear in the back
of the craft. :doubt:
