I'm really looking forward to FsP. I can't wait after looking at your site.

Anyway, StarLost, did you check up on those things which I mentioned?

Quick look, nothing intensive.  Passed the information along to Tim (my youngest), as it's he that wants it.  I'll look more
solidly myself after Friday, if all goes well.

If I have any questions, I'll holler.

Thanks again.

A comment as to the ignore function:

Don't bother. It's quite obvious our command of intelligent invective will suffice. Either that or don't respond.

Either way, like a corrupt politician, or an STD, he'll probably continue to lurk from his cold, dark place.  At least
NightLanding had some useful input before he tripped his breakers (I still miss him).

StarLost, thanks, I was about to loose my otherwise benevolent moderatorial composure over this insignificant
malcontributor.. Thanks for reminding me of the Tao... and what waste of energy is all about....

No point getting your hardware dirty! I'd just go with the old fashioned strangling :)

katanas can have a serrated edge! :grrr:

well, my first one won't because such an edge would go against my preferred cutting 'style'

but I might get a second one with such an edge for showing off.

A rifle is relatively clean, and you can stick a bayonet on the end to do some stabbing.

Hi All!

Back to initial topic "realistic ATC simulator". If you wish to do some (virtual) ATC with some real virtual pilots to
control, just have a look at http://www.vatsim.net it's a free online air traffic simulation network. There are online pilots
flying FS200x, Fly!II, PS13 sim and X-Plane. And there are online ATC using an incredibly realistic software called ASRC....
of course trying to use real procedures, real phraseology and communicating with voice, amending FPs, giving vectors... and
for free and in real-time!
On the link above, see the "controller software" section and look for "ASRC v1.1".
Hope it helps!

Pierre, LFPG, STV1010

*suddenly remembers that he belongs to (or used to anyway) Vatsim (or was it one of the other popular virtual aviation
groups...)*

Suppose I'll have to check back in...

Merci, Pierre.  Our good friend Sidereal pointed that one out to me over on M6.

Which brings up a point, guys. You've provided good material on what the kid originally asked for (he's gone back to base
now, he offered to stay longer but I shooed him back to work, Doc will understand).  Is there anything available on the
standalone side (computer operates aircraft, you are ATC), interactive between you and the computer but not necessarily
across the 'net?

I think the ones I pointed out are stand alone, because I was starting with the assumption your son might not have
time or opportunity to fool around online :)

And good luck today, Starlost...
