Yes and no. See Yuri Kulchitsky's Space tugs.

Also his TX5.

Hullo luron :)

I attach my DGIII to an Energia rocket. mostly without the tug since all I need is that boost to save fuel.

Heres some pic's and location where you can find said rocket:

I have been using the Energia launch system for some time now and it's great for all kinds of payloads. And it now
even comes with a payload editor to help you attach stuff to the rocket. :)

Hope this helps.

Yeah ... I don't which of the holy triumvirate to genuflect before: Dan, Yuri or Greg Burch. Their work is phenomenal.
I'd add Dave413 in there if he wasn't so touchy sometimes.

Okay, I've changed my mind. It's a pentamvirate: Dan, Yuri, Greg, Dave and Mustard !!!  Simply wonderful stuff.

Just took time to download the newest Energia addon. Certainly a "must try" thing. :) However, I still enjoy Kulch's older
fantastic addons: the Lunar rail catapult and the space lift.

Yeah, I love the catapults, too.

Maybe we need to build a couple of rock addons and see if we can duplicate the levelling of Cheyenne Mountain, eh,
cobber? :D

No hu-hu, convict! V elemente, koresh! ;) :D And also Cheyenne Mountain / Cheyenne Crater addon, for sure! BTW, it was the
first (and only) target I nailed with the R7 warhead addon. :)

I'll try to make a concept sketch of a "throwing rock" a little bit later.

If anyone is wondering what the two of us are on about ... read Heinlein's "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress".
