if using geocities, rename the .jpg to .txt and stick it in the IMG tags, trust me, it works.

Is it the famous canadave with his new car ?

I don't see the antenna on the roof that track the sattelite ?
and where's the APU ? :)

I hope you do overseas computer troubleshooting
cause I'd just sent a mail to http://www.themousehouse.ca 's
support ;)

This is the famous canadave with his formerly new car last year, which was subsequently destroyed in a crash with my wife driving (my wife came out of it with just a minor back injury, thank goodness, but the car was a "write-off".)  It was pretty nifty, I gotta tell you!

 Our NEW car is this:

And yes, I do international tech support, and did I mention that for you, Dan, there's no charge
since you're an international client!  I only charge people around here; i.e., people I can actually
hunt down if they don't pay! :)

Just to add--you'd think I was some sort of car nut, given the photos.  Actually, the first one (the
blue car) was my first vehicle!  Living in New York, I never had a car, or even a licence--I always
took subways everywhere.  Now that I've moved to Canada, though, I needed to get a licence
and get a car--it just sort of happened that these two cars were cheap and looked nice!

So this thread has changed topic to: Cars ? :)

Ok, I'll join in. Here is my old car that went on the scrap heap 2 years ago after 14 years service.

We have (almost) cleared the tower 8o

Yikes....sorry, I didn't *mean* to turn this into a car thread...like I said, I'm not much of a car
person! :0  Dan, you had me laughing my head off...I used to be EXACTLY like that.  "Uhhh...it's
got four doors?  And an engine?  And it rolls in both directions!"

To try to wrestle this thread back to the topic:  Dan, I see your point about the DGII
instrumentation....I suppose I agree, sort of :)  I guess I just personally wouldn't want flying to be
made TOO easy...otherwise, what'd be the point, right?

But your points have merit, so again, I withdraw my objections :)

Cheers,
Dave

I gotta say... I think the graph looks great.  It co-incides with the 'easeability' of the DGII, and
educates and entices the masses to poke in and experiment further.

Now it's big fight for performance each line is to be carefully added
for example the whole test for crew response is a headeach.
If you don't make the whole test for crew's response each frame
(under limit ? uper limit ? how much far from max performance line?)
You take the risk to have fake responce especially at timewarp.
But if you make it each frame it's likely that under powered computer
will see a drop in the framerate.

Anyway it still run smooth on my PIV
tomorow I will make some test on my 400 (ta taaaaa)

A couple of minor design changes I'd *really* like to see in the next release:

1) move the turbo button (or make a mirror) to the main panel somewhere, so when we want to
kick in or kill turbo power we don't have to move down a panel.

2) Bring back the hover sliders please.

Other than that, this thing is sweet!

For the turbo there is a really simple way to engage it without
bothering changing panel:  hit the "backspace" key it will
engage/disengage turbo.

For the hover slider I'm affraid there is not enough place
on the panel.

Dan, On 04-09-03 you said "new release within two week max". What happened? Are you still out
working in the garden?

Thanks for the tip on the turbo thrust. I sure wish I knew about that a few months ago. Guess I
should have read the manual. ;)

My forum access was hacked and someone wrote that...
I Don't know who :)

Nhaa ;)

At this time I was a bit tired of it (several hours per day :pfff:)
and when I reworked on it, due to Martin's request to be a beta-tester
I started to modify it on the Beta version of Orbiter... so there is  a new
version but that work only on the beta.

Hope this explain ?

Dan

Oh yes I remember now. You mentioned before that it only ran on Beta version in another thread.

Well then we have a lot to look foward too.
:gift:

Now I have a new question............ ( new thread )

Hrm.  Just an idea, but perhaps you could accomodate all the requests for the hover sliders and
other such amenities by moving the systems panel (the lower one) off to the left or right, and
bringing back a modified version of the stock glider lower panel, with the brake levers and hover
sliders, as well as neat looking controls for turning rcs and airfoils on and off.  Maybe.  Unless
you're worried about hampered performance.
