Hi there,

I tried searching for this but couldn't find an answer.

I just downloaded Obiter2006.  I've been running into a problem of spontaneously burning up if I acccelerate at x1000.  This
could happen while I'm stationnary on the ground or while I'm in a stable orbit.

Any clues on what the problem is?

Thanks,

Jay

You should never press x1000 if your are anywhere within 50km of atmosphere unless you arer on grond motionles.
But on the ground check your speed. you arent alwys motionless when looking like it. RCS can keep you moving and if
you dont have gears out. In "stable orbit" dont thrust and accelerate that much. And make sure it is actually stable
ABOVE most atmosphere. The atmosphere has no definite end. Just stay above about 200km.
