It was an attempt to cheat with search engine, so he posted many keywords
as "visit, tourism" and such with the link of his shite next to the keyword.

Google give a better rank to site that are reffered by a lot of another site...
so the most link he have in various place the better it will be ranked...

those dumbass not only piss people, get profite from the work and money of others
(YOU pay when you receive a spam) but they also fuck completely the search engine
while cheating with them...

I left Altavista for this reason, years ago I searched about "mountain bike"
and the first 20 links were X rated site... thanks goes to Mr Dumbass and his friends.

Google is a bit tricker to cheat but that was a way... there is too much abandonned
forum on internet so he will succeed anyway if you want my opinion.

The most fun is that most of those site don't last long, 80% die after somes month only,
so after their death it remain only all the craps they posted everywhere...

edit: and the world will die from this mental thinking... the
"I don't care pissing dozen or millions people as long as I can gain even a litle advantage for me
aah ! me  ! ... I love me ! ME MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE  MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
MHEUUU MHEUUUU BEEEE BEEEEE GROUIIIIK GROUIIIK"

I personally don't think it's a victory against spammers. While it does feel good to deny them access to the site, If I
was in charge of things, I'd give them 3 days in the stocks right in the middle of times square in NYC for doing this
sort of thing.

I'd even give out free rotten vegetables for throwing, and I'm sure that would be far more satisfying to everyone than
some stupid 3 month slap-on-the-wrist that the few convicted ones get nowadays.

Unfortunately, most of the search engines haven't caught up yet. So many of the items that come up in them, these days, seem
to be broken links.

The only thing that will stop the spammers is effective litigation, as has begun in the States (and I'm chagrined to note
that one of the biggest penalties was dished out to an idiot from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada ... 14 km down the road from
me).  Other than that, databomb the bastards and their ISPs out of existence.

We also need very effective publicity against the miscreants. Out of four email addresses I maintain, one continues to
receive copious copies of the Nigerian Letter con (it's expanding, I've received them from South Africa, Switzerland, Italy
and Argentina).  I always respond though.  I ask for additional information but ask them to direct it to my "personal"
address, which happens to be Interpol fraud, as well as directing the original to Interpol.

We need to shine lots of light on these "mushrooms".

I only got two of those nigerian scams ever.

Both were of great fascination to me when I did get them that I saved them. :)

I just find them hilarious.

Yeah, the first two are kind of cute.  Occasionally you find a variation on a theme like Doc received.  One variation I
received was about the wife of some Norwegian shipping magnate. But after awhile it is just really appalling. I mean, after
all, the con is sooooo obvious.

You would think that the average Internet user would be a cut above, intelligence wise (I know, how naive could I be?) and
should be able to weed out the crap, and the bastards would tire of the attempt after awhile.  I can understand the more
vulnerable amongst us falling in for it, especially the kids and the aged, but I read of a case a couple of years ago where
an American actually got hooked in. He actually travelled to where he was supposed to hand over his "administrative payment".
No surprise that he was murdered.

Stupidity is really the only capital offence.  No appeal and execution is immediate. (paraphrased from Heinlein)

Caveat Spammus!

Just  a quick note on the subject of spam; Legislation (with teeth) is in the works to slow the spam onslought, due to
the potential denial of service aspects, and the fact that legislators inboxes are being pummled with the garbage,
now that its effecting them...... the way this works is that some spamer/shmucks are going to be caught, prosecuted,
and they greasy hides left to bleach in the sun.  DOS is a big no no.

Now back to trying to achieve succesful orbit!

Cindy

Just an update, since Cindy bumped the topic, did you guys see the sting in Spain, I think last week. Spanish police arrested
318 people for running variations of the Nigerian Letter con and the fake lottery win con. Good on the Spanish cops!! (last
week as reported in the Toronto Sun newspaper)

The really sad information that came out, is that these bastards actually reaped in $120,000,000 US. It is so hard to believe
that that many people got sucked in.

What was that line? ... "Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice ... shame on me."
