Hi Dan, hi All,

I got a little tired of only having some detailed terrain around Cape Canaveral.

Is there any way to download and integrate more detailed maps of...lets say: The Los Angeles area (just an example)

Thanks,

Olaf

It requires to create surface tiles from sat imagery.
You may try to download Surface Base Wizard from www.orbithangar.com where I explain how to work with surface
tiles in the manual.

There is also a program at orbithangar that allows you to download satalite images from the internet for the creation of
surface tiles. Heres the link:

I use this addon it's nice... but note that it WILL move positions of the Shuttle, and buildings, etc and Kennedy Space
Center because this addon also corrects the position of KSC to the "correct" area. So if you use some scenarios like DGIV
ready for takeoff to ISS it will be sitting where the runway used to be, lol.

What would I need to use after that to place tiles in KSC? If I could do it, I would release a high-res KSC texture addon that doesn't mess with correcting KSCs position so it would be much more compatible.
