I've been working on a new skin, which I'll upload on it's completion. However, I'm having some problems with the
lower body skin - some bits are 'missing' (the blue patches around the vents) even though I've tried painting over
them. Any ideas of solution?

I was sure I'd saved it properly the first time - I've checked properly, and it is now definitely saved with no alpha, but
there is no change.

Uploaded - should come through as 'DGIII_5 WIP,' or something similar to that.

Thanks but that's the psd, totally useless ;)

Ok do this:

Open all your textures saved to *.dds with Dxtex.exe that is in orbiter/utils
change format to DXT1, then "generate mipmap" save.

Texture should be about 500-600ko if not there is an error.

Hope this help ?

Success - sort of with that method, it appeared that saving WITH a 1-bit alpha channel made it work, rather than no
alpha. Thx, full skin will be uploaded shortly :)

You should not have alpha... anyway I'll have a look at them
once uploaded.

Got it and approved, no alpha here only DXT1, correct.

HOWEWER:

I moved the readme to skin folder, trowing doc or read me or
whatewer in main directory is really a bad practice.

I removed also the antenna and cargo bay.dds, only few peoples
read instructions and the download don't warn enough
that it will replace thoses textures, So either you put a
BOLD RED ([b.] and [red.] tag) warning in the download
page either you can make a separate addon "cargo bay
and antenna texture replacment" with an image.

Cheers

OK, will make that a task for tomorrow morning, and stick that on as a second add-on.
