I was fiddling around with this addon, marvelling at its beauty and it just strikes me odd, that noone noticed (maybe
they did, but I don't check the main forum) that the size and shape of the PTM is perfectly suited to be crammed into
a shuttle cargo bay. I don't know if that was the original design, but it sure as hell was worth a try, so I took the
liberty to try it out. So here is what you get if you change things a little:

in the TTM24_PTM.cfg add:
; === Attachment specs ===
BEGIN_ATTACHMENT
P -0.1  2.7  0  0 1 0  0 0 1  XS
P -0.15 -0.9  0.67  0 -1 0  0 0 1  XS
P 0 2.3  0.67  0 1 0  0 0 1  GS
END_ATTACHMENT

and in your scenario file add this to your PTM specs:
ATTACHED 1:0,STS-101

Usually, I see that payload is attached to the shuttle at point #0, but with the PTM that doesn't work, so you attach it
to #1. Of course there are too many ports probably, I just copied that from another satellite (Hubble I think-similar in
size and all) and left it as is. #3 port can be used for grappling with the ARM, but #0 attachement point is sort of
ignored altogether :doubt: I guess it has something to do with the PTM's dll. Anyway, try it out and see if you can do
the whole trip from
the Earth to the Moon and back possibly.

Here's what it looks like:

(I ask the author not to be offended, I appreciate his effort and wish to augment the addon's funcionality and add to
its realism)

Have fun,

You can't have two XS entries in the cfg file as this is what identifies it as an payload bay attachment point. Just
remove the second of the XS lines and it should work. You can however have multiple GS lines as you know that GS is
the RMS arm attachment point.

Actually I didn't know, but I suspected. BTW I couldn't find any document dealing with attachement points. Can you
point me in the right direction? I tried spacecraft.dll's documentation and Atlantis.pdf, but nothing there.

As I said, PTM is acting up when you try to have it attached at #0 XS, however the configuration I used seems to
work even tho it's not as it should be. Originally it was XS and 2x GS. The only way I got it working was this tho. I
would prefer to have it attached on XS.

But do me a favor, try it out and see if it works as is and with a set of proper parameters at your side. You're more
experienced at this, so you might figure out what the problem is.

Tnx,

1) Unzip the file into your main Orbiter directory.

If you are unzipping using WinZIP then make sure 'Use folder names' is
selected.

2) Add the following line to the orbiter/config/Moon.cfg file:

   step 1) Base2 = lunox +29 +19
   step 2) add "1" to  NumBases

   Your file should look like this:

   ; === Surface Bases ===
   NumBases = 2
   Base1 = Brighton -33.4375 +41.125
   Base2 = lunox +29 +19
