I like my sigi. I gave up the old Freespace sigi when he copywrited it. Because I could not fit it in! Shall we confiscate
Venus from Freespace? (Too piss him off). or we could blow it up with Doc's death star. Hehe. Darth Doc. Hehe.

How come Freespace gets agents?

Er.... Freespace? Don't you think you go a bit too far? But, if you want war, I have no problem with that! I have the better warspaceships.
And about the boycott: Noone is forced to use you sig form. And as well, noone who uses it is forced to stay with it.

It's all in good fun. ;) I'm just trying to mimic what the american government would do, to be honest... just with a taste of freespace-style humor.

However. You may have the better ships, but I have the top-notch weapons of mass destruction. :)

This fits exatly to the "would be reaction" of the US government. :)

Weapons of mass destruction? Like the Death Star? :)

mine are like this:

1. worldwide plagues of locusts
2. space mirrors designed to melt earth's poles
3. good old fashioned nukes (not for surface detonation, but at high altitudes. EMP anyone? It's not fun to occupy a
city in rubble..)
4. new high tech nukes (based on fusion. much more fun to watch on the surface, but only as last resort)
5. Electro-magnetic weather controller. (how does a hurricane/typhoon over every major city sound?)
6. earthquake generator. (to test my car's shock absorbers. can your car handle a 12 on the richter scale?)
7. a decent sized asteroid in earth orbit... (to keep those dinosaurs at bay) ;)

with just one of those things, you can have earth begging for you to take over. :)

An extract from the 'Sol News Channel'.

'The Europan military is on code yellow. The government has agreed that no action will be taken against the planet
Venus unless Europa is directly attacked. They have also agreed to allow McBrain and DocHoliday sanctuary until this
is sorted out. As I said if Europa is attacked then it's government and people will be forced to defend themselves,
and as one of the three major superpowers in this solar system this could be devastating. In other news...'

This could turn into a full scale strategy game. ;)

Also, an extract from jupiternews.sol.com states:

'The Uranian leader, seeing that this conflict was inevitable, had summoned the leaders of the outer planets, Saturn,
Neptune and Pluto, to discuss what action to take in this interplanitary war. A descision was finally made, that all
planet's were to unite with the moons of Jupiter and defend against attacks from Venus. The main scource of the
Outer Planitary Alliance's (OPA) military might will come from most of Saturn's moons, where starfleets will be created
with great speed and efficiency. There have even been talks of a new Death Star being created at Neptune. Only
time will tell what will happen to this solar system after the conflic starts....'

This is much more than just a strategy game. :)

Easy fellas... You have to actually successfully get from Venus to Europa (or vice versa) before you can attack anyone
:)  Has anyone here actually done this without using the avsim TIE fighter or something similarly unrealistic? Anyone?
Anyone?

Latest News Report from Sol News Channel

'Sol edging on disaster. War seems imminent.

The Europan government has released information that is currently has under construction a secret weapon project.
Also the ESN (Europan System Navy) has been deployed and is currently spread around the Jupiter system to defend
the Jovian Mining Colonies from attack. Also a large number of Europan scouts have been seen all around the solar
system. There are also rumours the ESFC (Europan System Fighter Command) have been put on to full alert and are
making regular patrols of the Jovian system.

It seems obvious that the solar system is preparing for war, but there still has been no statement from the United
Nations of Earth or from the Venusian government. When word is heard from them things could get a whole lot worse
or a whole lot better. But we shall see.'

Who owns Earth anyway? This is fun.

As chief delegate heading both the asteroid belt colony and Martian Moon congress, and first ambassador to Mars, I
feel the time has come to declare our neutrality in this gathering conflict. My people have no need for violence, outside
the occasional drunken recreational fistfight. We are a simple freedom loving breed. We seek nothing more than some
rocks, some fuel, and some good imported beer. However, as we must face the fact that we are more or less in the
middle of this growing storm, cosmographically speaking, we know that we cannot ignore these interplanetary
tensions.
We will continue to keep our airdocks, beacons, supply stations and trading posts operational, and we will favor no
political or military party in our services. Rules of neutrality apply, of course - no armed ships shall be docked at our
facility, though we will be happy to send shuttles to deliver any supplies or workers you many need.
Regretfully, this situation has greatly increased the demand for fuel and raw materials, as well as skilled shipcrafters,
faster than our industries can compensate, so you may find prices and rates to be quite a bit higher than normal.
Please rest assured that there's nothing we can do about this at the moment, but we stand committed to making sure
that our quality of workmanship and manufacture is commensurate with these signifigantly elevated costs.
Thank you all. We look forward to many peaceful (and profitable) dealings with you all citizens of the biggest little solar system in the galaxy :)

I claim Titan, one of Saturns moons as my own now!

(Mostly because it has an atmosphere :) )

I will join the war, if it's necessary.

The Titanian Republic will make peace in our solar system!

You'll be creating my Fleet then will you McBrain? As I said, production will take place on the moons of Saturn,
especially Titan come to think of it.

State of the solar system at the moment:

Mercury - innocent bystander
Venus - has declared war against Doc Holiday
Earth - ?????
Mars - has turned neutral. Boring! :pfff:
Jupiter - The planet's moons are playing host to the Allies' fleet of starships
Saturn - This planet's moons are creating a new and powerful fleet of starships
Uranus - Centre of command for OPA
Neptune - Enjoying the ride.
Pluto - Not so innocent bystander

OK, let's take place the production on Titan.

But we should discuss the status on the new topic I just opened.
