Hi

Can anyone enlighten me as to the directory structure for the high resolutions?  I can  get the
basic version working but not the high res.  I have a G3 TI-200 64MB vga card.

Thanks for any help

C:\Orbiter\Textures2

High res planet textures should be in the Textures2 folder.

The high res textures are not as noticeable as one would think. They become most apparent when
approaching or leaving a planet.

Thanks Harmsway

I now have the Textures2 in the right place and appear to have the Earth and Moon viewable in
high resolution.  One other difficulty I seem to have is for the launch of, for example, the Atlantis
space shuttle, the flames are just blocks of white.  Are there normally flames shown?

I look forward to hearing back if you can help any further.

Thanks again

Stan

In the default Atlantis the flames are bluish-white glow comming from the main engines and SRBs.
The is no fire and smoke per say.

Just "blocks of white"? I don't know if we are talking about the same thing. There may be blocks
because of low resolution pixelation. In Launchpad go to the video tab and set resolution to
something greater than 800X600.

I do recommend the Atlantis Mod add-on. It is a worthwhile upgrade to the default Atlantis.

Just a note to add on to the original reply.  You should unzip ALL files (installation plus textures)
using WinZip (or a similar utility) with PATH INFO, and into your chosen Orbiter directory.  So if
you're installing Orbiter to C:\Program Files\Orbiter, your WinZip destination folder should be
C:\Program Files\Orbiter.  WinZip will handle the subfolders from there.

Cheers,
Dave

Thanks Canadave

I finally managed to "force" the unzip files into an Orbiter folder and all is OK now.  I tried to find
the Atlantismod15.zip but there does not seem to be a website attached?  Is there anywhere else
I can find it.  Have looked around using crawlers but can't seem to find it.

Thanks

Stan
