I don't know about you, but m6.net has not really been up to par as far as functionality lately and
the official BBS is now getting ruined because of a serious bug that has not been fixed.

Therefore, I have created a message board that I am going to be submitting to Martin in the
hopes that he uses it for the official forum. It's a work in progress, but the board is fully functional.

http://duff-free.com/orbiter/index.php

Feel free to join and post. There is plenty of bandwith and space to spare.  All the topics are the
same.

If Martin joins and goes for the idea, I'm going to make him an administrator.

Note to Dan: I'm not taking away anyone from you (I hope) but we need something better than
m6.net to host the official forum.

Yeah, thats my next project. Actually I want it to make it as seemless to Martins site as possible.
Lots of templates to go through though.

If you can get on the official site, Gladiator, post a link to the board. I figure the more people join,
the better chance Martin will say yes to it.  We can all use both Dans board and mine for the time
being.

I just registered at your site. I love the messaging system. I have not tried it out yet. The one
thing that concerns me is that will Martin get mad if I start posting your site on the main site. I
would much rather wait for you to talk to him about it to see his reaction and to see if he is
interested.
You're site uses the same stuff McDope uses right?

Ahh, post it anyway. This place has already been posted there. :)

You know what I was thinking. If Dan and I could merge boards (or minds) somehow.  Getting all
of us in one place would kick a**.. :)

Newyorkflyer, if you use Internet Explorer, you can set it up so that IE uses a color scheme of your own
choosing. In the IE Tools menu, open the internet options dialog box and look at the general tab. At the
bottom there are four buttons, and two of them are colors and accesibility. Use the accessibility button
to tell IE to ignore the webpage's formatting, then use the colors button to make it look the way you
want.

I'm not a big fan of M$, but I have to admit IE is the easiest browser I've found for formatting my own
color scheme. I like a color scheme with a dark background and light-colored text, I hate having a
bright white screen shoved in my face.

I fixed the microscopic fontsize. Now even the most blindest, or most drunk, among us can read it.  :friend:

I put up something that was sorely needed on the Orbiter official forum. Thats an OFF TOPIC area.

BigJimW,

Sorry I don't want to bash anyone but there is already Mc Dope
forum and mine as well as many *dead* forum around, adding
one more will just split more the community. (I wonder why some
guy post here to say that they will mount an Orbiter forum....
isn't this an ... Orbiter Forum ? :)

But as anyone is free I wish you the best, hope your the last
one to mount one more forum ;) and hope if your hosting is free
that you will not get the same problem than me with my
last free provider. (his *abuse* guy cutted my access to my
page because I posted ONE advertise message for another
provider... and incredible story that make me think about free speech
and user's right on internet)

I will never anymore rely on free provider and 100$ years
isn't to much to get a serious space.

Anyway best luck :friend:

Dan

True. I'm gonna make a few changes on the board today so it's not a carbon copy of Martins
board.

Ok, an update.

I made some changes to the forum. I added a couple of OFF TOPIC (Off the Orbiter path) places so
you can make topics about everything else and not clog the Orbiter forum and Dans forum with off
topic conversation and stick to Orbiter discussion.

Be sure to drop by when you're done with this fine board. :)
