On this, my second day of Orbiter, I can complete a mission with the Mercury capsule (But all I do
is turn on the engine and the thing flies itslef :) ), and I can launch Gemini and get it in space, but
cant drive it that well. Docking is also a pain in the neck. Anyone have suggestions for a newb?

Sounds like you're doing pretty well. Practicing takeoffs and rendezvous is a good start. If you
keep running out of gas, try using a futuristic spacecraft like the Deltaglider until you get the hang
of it.

Welcome to Orbiter!

a rendez-vous with phobos starting from mars surface,

it show how to use the basic instrument in orbiter

WEEEE......  That's funny. I did that tutorial the day after I downloaded Orbiter.

It worked PERFECT first time!!!!!! It was a fantastic feeling after I was landed. If you follow the
tutorial closely you shouldn't have any problems.(I printed the whole thing out)

When I think about it...... It is the easiest flight I've ever done in Orbiter :)

It's a great tutorial.

Oh yeah.... and, Welcome

Huh? did i miss something? I remember there is no Part in the tutorial where the landing is explained...
at the end the flight instructor sends a rescue ship, because the trainee (You!) didnt learn landing yet...
Whats going on? Are we talking about diffrent Tutorials?

The T3G is what i read...

Hi guys (and gals?),

Thanks for pat on the back, but I'm sorry there's no update for the T3G #1 (yet). I'm pleased that it's
still of use the new wave of Orbiter users (and quite surprised that it's actually the second most
downloaded entry here on Dan's site...after his own OrbiterSound add-on of course!). I've actually JUST
started on another tutorial (this will be like a "prequel" to the first...a T3 Guide #0 if you like) that
puts you back in Flight School at the Space Academy and tries to cover the terminology and background
theory behind (VERY) basic Orbital Mechanics; sort of trying to explain in reasonable detail WHY you do
certain maneuvers, rather than just telling you HOW to do it.

Oh sorry. The landing wasn't in the tutorial. I did that all on my own!!!!!!!!! :)

I was so pumped up that landed for fuel, and headed off to earth.

But........ That didn't go nearly as well, but that's another (tragic):help: story.

I learned that this really IS rocket science 8o
