Orbiter Linux Bundle allows you to easily install orb+orbiter in linux. Simply extract the archive, and execute the included orbiter.sh script to start the installation. Once the install is complete, Orbiter will automatically launch. After installation orbiter.sh can be used to launch Orbiter anytime. Most popular linux distros should be supported! This is a stand alone package, nothing else is required.

- The bundle installs WINE automatically if not installed
- Bundle automatically prepares a WINE prefix for Orbiter
- Orb modlist installer is used to download and install Orbiter using the DirectX 9 Runtime and Fresh Install Orbiter 2016 recipes
- orbiter.sh automatically creates symbolic link necessary for spacecraftx type vessels to work.
- You can use the orb_start.sh script to launch Orb anytime after the initial installation.

Hello majid, this morning shortly before 05h (local time) on my way to work I saw, in a clear sky with a half moon at its zenith, orbiting a small bright point in the sky going in the apparent direction of the planet Jupiter. It was the international space station and it had been a long time since I had seen it. It seems to me that NASA decided a few years ago to equip the ISS computers with Linux operating systems (debian) for reasons of stability and reliability. Do you want to transfer Orbiter 2016 to linux for the same reasons ?

C'est une utopie de vouloir quitter la plančte Terre pour une autre dans l'univers.........
Mais c'est une certitude que nous ne pourrons pas rester vivre sur cette plančte Terre éternellement.

Hello :)

A lot of people around the world use linux as their OS because it's free. Orbiter runs pretty well on it. Hopefully this package will allow linux users to easily explore Orbiter when otherwise it might have been too daunting.
