Hi, I'm a complete idiot when it comes to computers.  Been playing orbiter for a few weeks, used dgiv, amso, sound and ssu, with no problems at all. However I only downloaded orbiter because of nassp (big Apollo fan) after seeing a video on YouTube (texfilms), I was introduced to orbiter. So, the problem is... I have downloaded c++ 2015 both x86 and x64 Plus other years (see pic), and have installed as per instructed. I open orbiter (2010 p1), I activate projectapollomfd and apollortccmfd in modules tab, I go to extras and click vessel configuration and Apollo configurator is missing. If I load Apollo mission it says in bottom left hand corner 'please enable projectapollomfd in modules tab', If I close the Apollo mission and reopen another, without closing orbiter launch pad, it then says in bottom left corner 'telecom: bind() failed:10048'. I have just done a fresh install of orbiter 2010 p1 to try again with nassp. Still no joy. Will add pics or orbiter log and the problems I'm having. It will load the Apollo mission and I can get inside virtual cockpit and the switches do press, but mfd's are missing. So not a lot I can do. Hopefully can sort this lol. Orbiter log gives error code 193. How do I post pics?

its a fresh install of 2010 p1. with only d3d9 installed thus far. i have c++ x64 and x86 for 2008, 2013 and 2015. also have visual studio 2012 x64 and x86 redistrubutable.... ive had the same problem since first downloading nassp and orbiter. i didnt have c++ 2015 at that point. but installing c++ 2015 hasnt changed anything, exact same problem. it seems to be a straight forward add on for everyone else.... cant see where im going wrong  :wall:

It's on a laptop by the way. Specs are. Windows 7 home premium, service pack 1, processor Intel Pentium cpu b960 @ 2.20ghz. Installed memory (ram) 6.00gb. System type 64 bit operating system. If any more info needed. Let me know. I'm baffled.

Is the interesting line. Code 193 means you still have a Visual C++ Redistributable Package issue. What you should need for the NASSP 7.0 release is the 2015 one for x86. Just as it says on this page: http://nassp.sourceforge.net/wiki/Installation So my first suggestion is to follow the link on that page and install exactly that redistributable package (again). If that doesn't work, then we need to think again. But installing the correct version has solved your exact problem for others: http://www.ibiblio.org/mscorbit/mscforum/index.php?topic=2898.0

Hi, thanks for replying. When I go to uninstall programs (when I uninstalled orbiter to do a fresh install) the 2015 c++ package is in the list. Should I uninstall all c++ 2008, 2013 and 2015 and do a fresh install of 2015 only? I've seen other threads having similar problems. Hence why I also downloaded previous years of c++.. I'll give it another go and post results.

Post Merge: 13 August 2017, 08:04:58
Ok, just downloaded c++ 2015 again, it has (3) at the end of file name, indicating its the 3rd time I've downloaded It, and when you click run program, it has the options to repair and uninstall... not install. So I definitely already have it. I clicked repair, then tried nassp.... and still the same problem. I'll try uninstalling all c++ and visual studio, and reinstall the one in the link only, but that is what I did originally. I have noticed if I open nassp in normal orbiter, the screen goes white, have sound just no picture, open orbiter_ng and we have picture and sound, just missing the mfd's..

Post Merge: 13 August 2017, 08:44:05
Uninstalled all c++, and only installed c++ 2015 x64 and x86 from the link provided on nassp installation page. The problem remains  :wall:

Post Merge: 13 August 2017, 08:58:38
Uninstalled all c++. Problem remains. Deleted all c++ and downloaded and reinstalled c++ (from the link). Problem remains. Kinda out of ideas, besides taking a sledgehammer to it. It's not something as anal as installing c++ before installing orbiter? Can't see why that would be the case but I've tried everything else regarding c++.... It does say US in website name on c++ link provided, unless I need GB (being from uk)?? Other than that I'm stumped. Like I say I'm no computer guru. I'm a mechanic lol and a shit one at that.

todays log

Post Merge: 13 August 2017, 09:55:00
Just installed ssu 4.2 again (bored) and that's not working now either. It comes up with msvcp120.dll is missing, and won't load a scenario. Is that down to the older versions of c++ now missing from my computer. I've just read a thread, someone had similar problem. He downloaded an all in one c++ installer and problem went away. He thinks he may of had corrupted c++ runtime files or something... think this is worth me doing? Downloading an all in one c++ runtime installer? As I also read that you shouldnt uninstall c++ runtime (dr martin schweiger wrote this particular post), but to just reinstall again, as it could mess up things on computer.... Well I deleted mine lol, although problem was there prior to deleting... just wondering if files are corrupted or something??

Post Merge: 13 August 2017, 10:00:35
Just noticed I have a file in my downloaded list which is directx_feb2010_redist..... I'm guessing this is the latest version I have (it's right in the middle of a list of orbiter downloads) is this too old? Can I download a newer version of this? Is this my problem? I used to play rogue spear years ago. Had tonnes of add ons.... was so simple compared to this lol.

Hello "Spaceballs"
Sometimes in computer science do not hesitate to start all over again!  :bug:  :worry:

If you have the courage I advise you to completely remove your Orbiter2010 P1 and restart the installation of the set for NASSP v7.  :badfinger:

I advise you to start with a basic "clean" ORBITER 2010P1 to download here:
http://orbiter.dansteph.com/index.php

Download and install in your brand new Orbiter 2010P1: Installation is automatic.
ORBITER SOUND 40 from "Dansteph" here:
http://orbiter.dansteph.com/forum/index.php?page=download
DG IV and UMMU of "Dansteph" here:
http://orbiter.dansteph.com/forum/index.php?page=download

As you will spend time in orbit you have to install the ADDONS below to have a superb planet.

Basic ADDONS for a beautiful Blue Planet
Earth High definition "Earth L11, L14" here:
http://orbitersimulator.com/orbiter-2010-downloads/
Simply install the contents of the downloaded directory in the "Textures2" directory of your ORBITER 2010 P1 manually with a simple [Copy / Paste] dedicated to this mission.

To download and to put in place: By modifying the file Earth.cfg of your Orbiter.
A beautiful terrestrial atmosphere "More Realistic Earth Atmosphere V3.5" of "axel" here:
https://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4665

And here the VS C ++ 2015 Redistributable (x86)
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145
The version that corresponds to your "Windows" (but in x86) that you install directly from the "desktop" of your computer.

Then download NASSP for Orbiter 2010P1 here:
http://nassp.sourceforge.net/wiki/Installation

If you want the D3D9 ClientR15
http://d3d9client.codeplex.com/releases/view/598601
Enables to win in (FPS) and in addition makes it benefit from visual improvements.

And now you have more than to test ...
"Normally" this should work.

Sorry for my bad English

I already have those add one. I've saved them in a separate folder and can just unzip them into orbiter directory to install them. But alas, it is a fresh install. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled from orbited zip file I had saved. Should I uninstall and delete the file... then redownload and install? I did download all the software from the links you have provided too... I'll try deleting all tomorrow morning (UK time) and reinstalling it in that order you have provided. Fingers crossed. Too tired tonight, so getting an early one.
