The viewers will probably ALWAYS have to synchronize the refresh moment of any mission page (by hitting F5) in order to
avoid half uploaded images and other errors… This happens because, for example, one user can connect in the last seconds the
image is available in the server and, once the download starts, a new image is uploaded… So, half uploaded images or other
errors mean (if we exclude other technical reasons) lack of synchronization between the moment the user is seeing the image
and the time the images are sent to the server.
About live video: it is possible but, due to bandwidth issues, the audience can not be composed by many persons and the video
window is smaller… probably not enough to have a good reading of MFD numbers… although… I already transmitted live video to
my live page (Multimedia section) and another orbinaut was even able to dock an Apollo to Skylab by using that live video
feed + virtual mission control + voice communications.
By the way, just few days ago I and other orbinaut repeated a similar mission (CEV to ISS) and docking experiment but this
time using live screenshots: it is possible!
But like I wrote above: these and many other issues are in those two links above
Congratulations to Mustard for the launches.
Meanwhile, if someone wishes to join in to my sessions, be my guest… despite in the last days I did more than one session per
day… I only had a maximum of 2 simultaneous viewers… In one of those sessions I used Ventrilo and transmitted telemetry
Voir mon www >> Orbiter >> Mission
PageI will use images with 80% quality… (like in the last few sessions)
Good luck to anyone who wishes to try this stuff and make other mission pages,
António
