different increase in reentry autopilot steps

Hi Dan.
Today I was reading one more time Tommy's reentry tutorial, where there's written something about the limits imposed on controlling hull heating by the 5 degrees increment of the reentry autopilot.
Would it be possible to refine those increments? Maybe to 2,5 degrees each "tap" instead of 5?
