I just posted a similar message over on the Orbiter Forum.

Hey Dan, how difficult would it be to add a tricorder to the Ummu that can give you audio information about planetary atmosphere and other info while exploring a planet's surface?  Humidity, air pressure, gravity, atmospheric composition; like it could tell you "Atmosphere Oxygen 30%, Hydrogen 2%, air pressure 20 kPa".  Basically all of the stuff you can get from Object Information dialog box but put to audio.

I think that would be a great improvement over the message telling you that the atmosphere is poison or not.

Only for audio, it would takes too long time and place for the hundred of sounds. And I think the physical gestion codding is too long for his broken wrist

What someone could do is make the tricoder as a vessel.  The grap it with the ummu.

I would like to have a Tricoder like you said on the first post on UMmmu and DGIV, but not as a seperate vessel.

Ok.  It would be nice to have the HUD issue fixed for 2010p1

What Hud issue? I use Orbiter 2010 P1 and have no problem but I find one with UMmu but only when stuff is grappled to the back like UMmu re-entry pack (UMmu Paracone) at the start of a scenario.

When unsuited in Orbiter2006.  You don't see the HUD display.  But in 2010p1a you do.
2010p1a:

Anyway, when you are unsuited, to stay realistic you shouldn't be able to see a HUD display

I would like to be able to look up when I am suited, but the knees are so stiff.
