The stock version of DeltaGlider that comes with Orbiter100830.zip works great, but when I install this newest version (DeltaGliderIV-2) and try to initiate a scenario within it's folder all I get is a box right after startup stating "orbiter.exe has stopped working..."

Operating System is Win7/64 with 12 gig RAM

I'm also having this issue. Any attempt to use the downloadable Delta Glider results in Orbiter crashing. If I start a scenario with it in, it crashes. If I add one in a scenario it's not in, it crashes when I unpause. I've tried reinstalling orbiter, adding only the orbiter sound pack and the DGIV pack, and the issue remains.

Yeah I'm getting the same error.  Might try a clean install again, but to date it hasn't solved the problem.

Guys, does your PC meet the requirements for DGIV?

Are you running obriter with the D3D9 client so as to increase your number of FPS? If yes,  the DGIV-2 is not (Yet?) compatible and will result in a CTD.

Same issue here. OS is Vista64, 4Gig RAM.
I tried to pin down the reason for this and made clean new install. Everything worked great until I installed some highres planet- and Moon textures.
I know this should have nothing to do with the crash specific to DGIV-2, but fact is that the marvellous DGIV stopped working, all other installed ships are still working as intended (complete XR-Series, the great Arrow coming with UCGO and all stock vessels).
The texture packs I installed were:

Moon090730_L11
Earth091124_11_14
Jupiter_level8_022809
Mars091218_11
OrbiterSimLandSAT061219_Venus_L8

all from "official" sources, so nothing exotic here.

If somebody could point to a solution this would be highly appreciated since I like the DGIV very much, in fact it´s still my favorite ship.

Another sequential clean install showed where the problem came from:

The Venus.cfg provided with the Venus L8 texturepack seems to be really outdated and causes DGIV to crash on loading of the scenario!
Simply installing the Venus L8 textures without overwriting the original Venus.cfg (or reinstalling the original ofc) solves this issue!

Maybe this is the reason for some "mysterious" crashes at other peoples installations, so this find might help.

Thank you! I was getting very frustrated but this solved the problem! If only it worked with the D3D9, but oh well.

The DGIV will not work with OGLA Graphics Client either because of a problem related to the vessel coding. The author 'Artlav' knows this.

I wasn't told.
Quick check shows that it mostly works - only the skins are missing.
Does anyone have a reproducible OGLA-related DGIV CTD?
Or is the missing skins the "will not work" in question?
