Hey everybody!

I have a probroblem with my DGIV reentry. I seems to be doing everything according to the standard practice (ie. the tutorials I found around the web), that is to sync with the base, do the deorbit burn opposite to the landing base (I usually try to get reentry angle of 0.7°, landing weight below 18t) and then I use the DGIV Autopilot (P105). But everytime I get destroyed in the ALT of around 55 km, although it happened as low as 48 km.

I am sure it is not the temperature, as that is nominal and kept by the autopilot, and I cannot find the problem. I thought I must somehow exceed some of the construction limits of DGIV, but I cannot find out which one and how - I logged some flights and did not find anything unusual among the numbers, although I am a beginner in the spaceflights. I also did not get any warning by the onboard instruments - the ship just went fireball.

If someone has some idea on what the problem can be, please let me know.

Thanks

is it because of the G-Force? :bug: because i don't use autopilots for reentry. explain the G-Force,Temperature and Airspeed?:???:

EDIT: I think you should turn the Autopilot OFF after reentry.
