This wasn't a problem in the first version of UMMU, but is now. Can you get UMMUs to side step when walking, this will help
align cargos for unpacking.
If we're entertaining feature requests, I have to agree these seem particularly beneficial for Ummu... Side-step possibly
being the 'rudder' keys (keypad 1&3)... and Turn being repositioned to 4&6.  Any key conflicts there?  Makes building easier.

Dan

Any idea of a particular addons, tricks, things that may cause this issue on
your other install ?

Once released others may have the same problem if they have the same addon/etc etc.
So it might be important.

Do you use it often, many addons ? which one ? it's an old install or a brand news ?

Interesting. The light too seems to slow down at the higher time accelerations. I agree that this is a bug.

Very noticeable (like 1/2 or 1/5) or only a fraction ?

Dan,

I apologize for not being quite as verbose as needed. The beacon appears to flash at about 1/3 to 1/2 the frequency it did
under normal and 10X conditions. It is obviously nothing that I noticed until you directed me to check it. It certainly is
not as noticeable as the habitat slowing down, but I venture to guess if you resolve the habitat rotation issue, you will
also resolve the beacon flashing issue.

I agree. I believe we need to get to the bottom of this issue, or we will see it again. What add-ons and modules are  active
on your dirty install? I have a plethora of different packages on my dirty install and have not seen this issue. What OS and
Service Pack? What Direct X version? What resolution? What video card? What CPU/PC model? Any of this added info can help
bunches!

I had no active modules.  I am using Windows Vista Home version, service pack2 on a Tosbita Laptop.  Intel Celeron 900
@ 2.2 GHZ.  Add-ons included the Moonbase Alpha, my Marsbase Alpha.  Some eagles,my LER and ummu buggies.  Not
sure to find the direct x version.

Hmm. Pretty new machine. The Alpha bases do utilize UMMu compatibility. I am wondering if something with the earlier version
of UMMu is conflicting and causing the problem.

Can someone reproduce this ?

By design I force the rotation to be the same in every time acceleration. As Arrow is often used with it a wheel that would
turn like a mad would not look good.

Litle variation may be possible in rotation but not 1/5 difference.

Thanks

Dan

I don't have this bug, I think I could have about 1/10th of variation, no more...

Bug with:

Crew Elevator

Short description:

CTD after unpacking cargo and trying to reenter Arrow.

Severity

Complete freeze.

Complete description
After building my first base, I could not re-enter the Arrow with my UMMU. When I got close the airlock and hit 'e' the
computer just froze up. It has happened twice, and I haven't been able to pinpoint it yet. The only constant I can think of
in both instances was the Azure parked off its platform when I attempted to board the Arrow.

Reproduce bug
Trying to create a scenario where this will happen.

Any probe deployment scenario

Did you added a DGIV or any other vessel UMMU compatible by any chance ?

Unfortunately previous version of UMMU (1.5) had a bug with more than 20 vessels
in scene wich was rare before but will happen often with UCGO.

I'll update the DGIV to DGIV-2 but I think this will poison me during a long time, many
old vessel will not be updated with UMMU 2.0...

I'm even thinking to make an utility that hexedit (patch) DLL compiled
with UMMu 1.5 but I'll see that later.

Solution for yet, well ... maybe I can make the DGIV-2 dll available for download for testers ?

Best

Dan

It's linked to their heartbeats. Because the faster your heart beats, the quicker you go through O2.

It's also kinda funny to see the numbers shoot back up when you stop walking and drop a box.

I got it to work.  I copy the moon,cfg from the working version to the old version and it works except for the construct a new base I still CTD.
: here is the new version:
; === Configuration file for moon Moon(Earth) ===
Name = Moon
Module = Moon
ErrorLimit = 1e-5

; === Physical Parameters ===
Mass = 7.347664e+22
Size = 1.738e6                   ; mean radius
SidRotPeriod = 2360591.597       ; = 27.321662 days
SidRotOffset = 0.75049            ; rotation offset at J2000.0
Obliquity =  0.02692024985275    ; rad(1.5424167)
LAN = 0                          ; ascending node of equator - CHECK!

; === Visualisation Parameters ===
MaxPatchResolution = 8           ; highest sphere patch level

; === Fixed surface observation points ===
BEGIN_OBSERVER
Brighton Beach:Tower: -33.4375 +41.125 120
END_OBSERVER

and the old version/non working:
; === Configuration file for moon Moon(Earth) ===
Name = Moon

Did you try it on a clean install? I thought you were doing so, but that post suggests otherwise.

OKAY ;)

That's the problem: one addon replaced the moon.cfg with the one of an older version of Orbiter.

Much thanks ,

Dan

But on the construct base scenario I get a CTD.  here's why.  Not sure on a fix.  The top image is the old version and the
bottom one is the new works version.  Notice the UMMU 2.0 is missing from the top one.

Probably because the SHuttleA in this scenario is still supposed to be landed at "UMMU 2.0" base wich doesn't exist.
Edit this scenario and remove the "BASE" line of the shuttleA, there no need for that anyway the position is sufficient.

I've removed all references to base in the incoming beta version.

Thanks  I did that and it works.  Of course there is no landing pad there but I do see the base mesh.  I wonder what in my
old version was not allowing the 2.0 part?

UCGO BUG

Bug with:

With the scenarios below

Short description:

CTDs on some scenarios.

Severity

CTDs

Complete description

These scenarios crash: Cargo-Release an exploration Probe, Mother ship-Arrow Freighter 18, Action Areas, Autoland
autopilot

Reproduce bug

Start the scenarios above.

Miscallenous

Now here is the weird thing. I tried all scenarios two days ago and none crashed. Now these scenarios crash and the
only addon I have installed since that was IMFD and if I deactivate it it isn't different.

This sounds like Orbiter is recognizing an earlier UMMUBaseMoon.cfg file.

Just for giggles Gattico, look in the old install of Orbiter and see if you have the above file listed (UMMUBaseMoon.cfg)
under the config/moon/base folder. If you do, right click on properties and advise what the date is for the file. Also,
double click the file and open in notepad. Advise what the Name of the base is (Name = xxxxxxx).

Thanks,

Insanity- is there something special that you do? Can you give an exact rundown of deployment activities? I tried it with the
Cargo unpacking scenario with an Arrow landed, Azure off its platform and hatch extended, and I cannot duplicate the problem
in both my clean and dirty installs.

The CTDs happen on the start of the listed scenario. I installed it again over my orbiter but didn't fixed the problem. I
will try it on a clean install.
