The default DG has less powerful hover engines.
Deltra Glider XR1 has an option to modify its hover engines by editing a file.

Just run the "DGIV configuration" file. You can modify the global engines settings.

Or do not use the hovers at a max level ;)

In a file G:\Orbiter\Config\Vessels\DeltagliderIV.cfg  no data about the engine

In fact, it's easier than that:

You should have a shortcut named "DGIV configuration", which target
[Orbiterpath]\Sound\deltagliderIV\Dg4config.exe

This executable will allow you to configure your vessel. No need to try to modify the .cfg file ;)

The only thing is that you can't make only the hoovers be less powerful. Main engine will also be.

Don't press 0 (zero) on your num-pad. use the Hover Slider in the cockpit view.

If you don't use only key +, but keys Ctrl & +, you can increase the thrust of the engine by 10%.

What for was to create DG 4? What for different types of engines Mark 1, 2, 3 ?... On your logic it is possible to fly and on
standard DG and to dream of what you want...

I want realism... :bave: )))

If you want realism, better don't use DGIV...isn't realistic (not with nowadays technologies)
Try other add-ons, like STS or NASSP (less easy to fly than DGIV)

For start from the earth I use "Energy" by Yuriy Kulchitsky, but I would like to have realistic DGIV, how much it is
possible... If technologies of materials have potential for development jet engines have a limit)))

To DanSteph:  very much I ask you in following version DG (if it is let out)
To make the hover engine realistic and with the realistic expense of fuel, Mark 0

PS: Huge gratitude for DG

the XR-1 is a DG with variable parameters to make it realistic: http://www.dougsorbiterpage.com/

In fact, neither the DGIV or the XR-1 can be realistic: not enough space to stock the fuel, period.

If you want realism, try Appolo (NASSP and AMSO), David413's shuttle, or any "real" mission.

Also, No Matter and Well's CTV is pretty reallistic. And maybe most of Kluch's work...

But a delta glider with engines and enough fuel to reach orbit realistic? Forget it!

But are those spaceships fun and challenging? Sure!

DG XR has a capability to change engine parametres through scripts, such as - thrust and specific impulse(ISP), that I would
like to have this that in DGIV, with parametres of real engines DG from the earth certainly does not take off, and from the
moon with takes off hardly))
But it is possible to use accelerating stages, such as DeltaTag, and it is interesting... :music:

To DanSteph: Can there is what that a capability independently to establish value of thrust and specific impulse?   :wor:
