i might add something if may that is a flight corridor similar to what we see and use when in a docking manouvre, you
know, with those square boxes you see when docking for landing at an airport similalrly to conventional aircraft to be
used on landing at airports.

That's called the Instrument Landing System (ILS).  I'm not sure any of the bases in Orbiter have a full-blown ILS.
