1. Virtual Cockpit.
2. Config file that can be edited to customize DGV instead of the program (preset values are OK for some things, but I think
custom values fit better.)
3. Finite resources for the power generators. Adds to the realism.

All I can think of, it's 7:41 AM here...

Didn`t Dan say at one stage that he was retireing from the Delta Glider team? Anyway, Maybe it might be a good
idea if some things were left so that it dosen`t make it too easy. Things need to be a little bit difficult,
otherwise it would start to feel to much, well, automated. At least, that`s what I think.

Yeah, but there are others (ie, beta testers) and without them, many flaws and bugs in the DGIV would never have
been found until the "gold" version was released.

I`m not saying that Dan didn`t do it all on his own. He did do it all on his own. In fact, as far as I`m concerned, he
has made Orbiter what it is. But, all I`m trying to say is that Dan does not have to spend months and months on end
making DGV. He is a person, like you and me. Nothing more, nothing less.

Anyway, back to the original message:

I think that this needs to be considered.

Dan can take as much time as he wants. It's not easy to make these things you know.

Yeah, I didn`t say he needed to hurry...

:wc:

And besides, there are better things that Dan can be doing.

Like that FSX addon, which helps him by providing him with an income.

And the Syphony base thingo (which would allow him to actualy finish what he planned to release with DGIV).

If you don`t know about Syphony:

And Dan has a life too! He is only human, after all...

We think.

Yeah, I think Syphony looks cool to.

BUT DAN IS ONLY HUMAN!!!

And he needs an income.

The only way that he can do that, to my knowlege, is to put Flight Simulator Passengers X (an addon he is no doubt
working on right now) at the top of his priority list. `cause when people buy it, he gets money. And in this world,
money is nessecary for survival.

So don`t hurry him, he owes nothing to us. In fact, I would say it is the other way around. We owe him our respect.

And our help, if there is anything that we can help with.

EDIT:

Oh, I understand now!

BlurryBlue, I meant that Dan has a life, and can do what he wants. When he wants to. I`m sorry that my post came over as impatience. It was not meant to.

Heres an Idea. Why not update the satellite payload and add an MFD to the DGV that would let us see Earth From the Satellite.

Maybe we could zoom in to the planet from the satellite or take pictures.

Don't bother about me, If I'm busy I don't read requests, that's all ;)

Most of time I have a precise idea of what I want and requests do not fit with my "vision"
or are impossible to do or would take to much performances (as sat camera), or where already
submited dozen of time (camera, energy managment etc etc)

From time to time (rarely) an intteresting and new idea is submited, I keep it in a corner
of my mind for when time come.

For now I'll not be able to work on orbiter during at least 6 month, so all thoses requests
are probably completely useless ;)

Cheers,

Dan

My final word on this thread will be:

Don't ask what "Dan" can do for you ("he" already worked 1 years free for you)
but ask instead what YOU can do for Dan...

"Dan" would really see peoples stop posting childish things
and requests for an eventual next addon as if the actual one
was not existing.

"Dan" would really like that peoples post story, scenarios, skins,
pictures, new payloads... there is billions of things to do
with the *existing* DGIV and base...

For exemple such mission are really cool if well done and *anyone*
can do such things with a minimum of knowledge:
http://orbiter.dansteph.com/index.php?disp=dgIVMore&DId=32

Of course it require a bit more time than posting requests ;)

Dan
