S~ All

Could anyone tell me how to install the "Universal MMU 1.5 End user file +SDK NEW!  (For ORBITER2006+P1!)" to
another downloaded spacecraft?

I would like to use it with the DESCARTES DSV1 and DSV4 Series Deep Space Vehicles now available for Orbiter
2006+P1.

UMMu support needs to be added by the add-on developer, though someone has built a module that sort-of adds support to other
vessels.

Thanks Ursus for your reply.  I had looked at this DL before, but I couldn't figure out how to write a .ini file or how to
structure it for the DESCARTES Ships I would like to use them on.  They utilize the Spacecraft3.dll.

Awhile back, I downloaded an EVA MFD that would work on any vessel you were in at the time.  You simply selected the proper
MFD and then gave a name for the EVA then clicked the button on the MFD then you were out.  Quick as that!

I don't know whatever happened to the download tho, and it didn't have all the features of Dan's nice one here, but at least
I could use it on any ship.  (That was nice)

I hope I can figure out this UMMUFA thing.  I would really like better clarification of how to hook it up to my DESCARTES.

Perhaps someone out there could post a sample ini file for me and show me how to link it up:)

I don't know a lot about the UMMUFA but I assume it uses the ships' config files as the name that you set in the
UMMUFA ini. In that case, you would need your ship named spacecraft3 (since they use spacecraft3.cfg) and
unfortunately the information that you provide in the UMMUFA ini will apply to all ships using spacecraft3.dll but one
choice would be to make multiple inis and swap them out whenever you want to use a different spacecraft.dll ship.

Sounds difficult Nick.  I use JSGME to install most of my addons since I am really not comfortable with editing INI's.
Pretty scared of CFG's too... LOL

I would hate to screw up my install that has taken me a painstaking 2 months to put togeather without CTD's.

But thank you for your input none the less.  I appreciate it when someone actually takes some time to respond to people in
distress (Me)

Not too hard. I'm pretty sure it's becoming a lot harder for me to explain it than it is to set this up. :p

Download the Shuttle Fleet 3.9.3 and READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! There are multiple downloads and they have to be
installed in a certain order! http://orbithangar.com/searchauth.php?search=david413
There are instructions on getting the Atlantis to get UMMU to work somewhere probably in the actual UMMUFAV
thread on the main forum.

Nothing to worry about. UMMUFA is just a .dll and two .ini files. An .ini file is just a notepad text file saved with an .ini
extension. To uninstall UMMUFA just remove the files from your Orbiter installation and everything will be back the way you
had it before installing UMMUFA. The only real change you need to make to your Orbiter installation is to make sure you don't
start paused. Uncheck the box on the Launchpad "Start Paused". Launching UMMUFA with Orbiter paused will cause a CTD.

Easiest way to learn how to configure the .ini files is to look at the samples that comes with UMMUFA. Make a backup and then
play around with the file. If you mess it up just paste the backup back in. It's well documented so you should pick it up
easily.

for the name in the .ini file just set it to the name of the ship in the scenario- eg. GL-01. it is pretty simple, although
adjusting the airlock position could be troublesome.
