DELTAGLIDERIV BUG

Short description:

Main engine shuts down when Kill Rotation is run.

Severity

Moderate

Complete description

When the main engine is running hitting Kill Rotation will cause the engines to shut down. To restart you need to pull
throttle back and forward again.

Reproduce bug

Should show up easily. I have it 100% of the time in any scenario under all conditions I tested it under. Just give her full
throttle and hit Kill Rotation and engines will shut down. Pull throttle back and then forward again and the engines will
come back on. This works in both my installations. Clean Orbiter and my regular installation.

Miscellaneous

I found this on the new .dll you sent me for the calculator bug. I was going to report it but I see you have the new version
posted. I just checked it and the bug is still there in Beta 11.

DELTAGLIDERIV BUG

Short description:

On some moons there is no way to control Ummu. The gravity is too strong to use the suit RCS thrusters and too low to walk as
on the Moon and Earth.

Severity

Minor

Complete description

When I landed on Iapetus I found that I couldn't go from the DGIV to the airlock of my base. It seems that the gravity so low
that the Ummu doesn't allow walking but too high that you cannot move around with the suit RCS thrusters. Only workaround
I've found is to use the scenario editor and edit in a turbopack and use that for each crew member. Of course this means
changing the position of the turbo pack with the scenario editor for each crew member or give them all a turbopack. I've also
found this on Oberon and Rhea. I haven't checked all the smaller moons but more than one seems to be affected.

Reproduce bug

Land a Ummu on Iapetus and try to move it. It just skitters in a random direction out of control.

Miscellaneous

Not sure if you want to change this since the Ummu has already been released. It is possible to tell users to just edit the
crew members a turbo pack compliments of the base. :)

well... that really sucks. I think Dan might be able to, if he's willing to make yet another feature, change the power of
the RCS depending on gravity or something. Of course, you wouldn't have it set up to even give enough power to lift
off of Jupiter or even Earth with RCS.

And I am very happy to get the chance to try out this fantastic addon! Dan works hours and hours to get this done
when he can do something else and actually get paid for it. Thanks Dan!:)

And Quick_Nick (with the underscore) will work just fine. ;)

Can you try this DLL on several small planet and let me know ?:
http://www.dansteph.com/publie/UMmu.zip

For whatewer reason the GetWeightVector of
martin seem off on those small planet, the return
is way much higher than it should be.
I returned to Newton's basic calculation for G  (Planet M * Planet R2)
and now RCS are engaged only below  0.010 G

Many thanks

DELTAGLIDERIV BUG

Short description:
Nasty visual bug on Frontier skin.

Severity

detail

Complete  description
This is a nasty bug. It only happens on the Frontier skin. Pic below:

Reproduce bug

Open the Prelude scenario in the tutorial folder. Switch to the second base. You will then scream like a girl in horror. Or
you can just switch the skin to the Frontier skin and zoom out all the way until it disappears, then zoom in.

Miscallenous

Very ugly horrible nasty visual bug. Yuck.

Dan, are you hiding something?

Perhaps a look into the "bucket of lost features"?

It's improved a lot but I still had trouble on Mimas with the Ummu skating around and going everywhere but where you want it
to go. Dropped my turbopack and tried to walk around and took me a good 20 minutes to get back to it. I'd hit the forward RCS
and instead of going forward I'd skitter to the right or left. Correct for that and I'd end up going backward. After a while
I was farther from the turbopack than I was when I started. I finally hit the up button on the suit RCS and had a little
better control flying but even then it was a job. I'd start descending even with full up RCS and when I'd hit ground it'd
skitter in a random direction. This kind of reminds me of the Orbiter "landed bug" from several versions back when you would
land a ship but it kept moving.

I'm affraid there's nothing to do for this, very low gravity...
walking here for real would not be an easy job to.
you have to be very gentle with walking... juste small push.

That's what I was thinking. There's always going to be a moon or two that is in between. At least it works for a good 98% of
the planets and moons. Kind of reminds me of some of the Apollo missions. Real easy to loose your balance. My geologist is
getting real up close and personal with his work. :)

P.S.
Kill Rot/Engine shutdown bug is cleared in the latest .dll.
