obviously no one really believes me for some reason, so im jsut dropping the case:(

[EDIT BY MODERATOR] This guy edited his post to remove all the craps so here's the story:

He was member of the "closed beta team of DGIV" with a "do not disclose beta of DGIV" rules. April 13 he registered
on M6 forum  under another profile and posted publicly the link of the beta. His identity was discovered by moderator
at M6 and I then publicly stated on the beta list that the "culprit had 24h to apologies to me by PM"
Without that I stated that I would reveal his name and ban him from here:
http://orbiter.dansteph.com/forum/index.php?topic=11999.msg184821#msg184821

Forced, he wrote to me but only to say an incredible story where a "friend" would have posted this link from his
computer while it was at bathroom etc etc... logic but also evidence show that HE posted the link so this added lies to
his unfairness. At first I offered him in PM to remain hidden and stay on forum he choosed to make a public come out
to tell all that crap in this thread to force me to take him again in the beta tester team. Here was reply:
http://orbiter.dansteph.com/forum/index.php?topic=12001.msg184835#msg184835

I can live with the beta posted that was not the main problem, what really hurt me is the violation of my trust and the
fact that he continue to lies first to me, than to everyone thinking we are all idiots.

I even offered him a second and third chance, he didn't took it. Now Profile discarded and guy banned - case closed -

AYE

but i HATE it when people do things like that

also, how could we possibly verify this unless lilygirl herself apoligises and supplies sufficient evidence to prove it
was her

(sorry if this is offensive, but i generally am skeptical of things until proven beyond a reasonable doubt)

I agree that your apology appears to be very sincere, but verifying the guilty party may be a difficult job.  :wonder:
It's all up to Dan.  Dan's the Man.  Good Luck.

I believe him and I don't think it was his fault at all. Dan's decision. I'd say if he is a decent beta tester, he should be
allowed back in, if not, Dan would probably leave him out as he REALLY doesn't have time for bad beta testers.

"was a friend that hacked my computer during shower/bath/dinner/sleep" is the sorry that I hear
almost everytime I catch a fooler on my commercial product sold on internet, I have a
hard time believing it as I told you in private.

The girl saw the link, quickly registered on m6 today with your email adress, received the
M6 mail with your mailing software, logged in quickly on m6 and posted the link and all
that during time you where in bathroom ? for.. what reason ? where is her intterest on that ?
why suddenly today ? she had nothing better to do ? how logic is all this ? :doubt:

"Her" profile on M6: http://www.orbitersim.com/Forum/default.aspx?g=profile&u=2955

Sorry I don't buy that one second. Also the post with the link took place at 17:30
today and your "friend" was still answering my posts in real time at about 20:00 ?
you take very long shower it seem !?? (same IP than your computer, "she" was at your home)

I offered you to keep your name hiden and not to ban you from my website even
that I don't believe this story, you choosed to push one step further and publicly
post your "apologies" to force me to keep you on beta team. Up to you.

More probably not only you fooled me once but now you write this incredible story
thinking that you can now fool everyone.

I offered a chance in PM just asking that you learn the lesson, it seem lesson's
not taken, it even goes worse: you are now publicly sinking in your lies by your
own fault.

Dan

Same here. hfbldprince: IF you want us to believe you and your "explanation", answer me this:
lilygirl555's last post was at 19:27:45 UTC. You posted your first message at 19:29:52 UTC. All of lilygirl555's posts
had the same IP address. Your first post and all of your subsequent posts had the exact same IP address.

This tells me that all of lilygirl555's posts were posted from the same computer your posts was. There's not a chance
in the world that those posts came from two totally different computers. None.

Wow I dont think I believe this story one bit. Why would someone create and account just to place a download on Orbiter
forums? You said she "Logged on" to her account but she only had like 7 post, and 7 of those where today......
thats pretty new
. But atleast you came forward and admitted it.
EDIT: Eh, after reading Dan's post again I noticed he already talked about this. Sorry mate. :damn:

I had that thought when he posted that.
And Dan's eviedence is PRETTY strong! I'd say off the beta, but maybe no ban. Something else... BUT, Dan's decision.

At this point with a "do not disclose" link revealed, the fact that I offered him
that his error remain hidden with almost no consequence + the fact that he didn't
understand the chance he had and add now even more lies: only plain truth can
now save him from ban.

There is million honnest peoples on internet I have no time to loose with him
anymore. On most forum he would have been banned as soon as his identity
would have been discovered and his name posted everywhere.

A poll for only the Beta tester members (or Public) maybe? I mean i think a poll would help Dans decision.

I didn't constructed this site by poll ;) I'm 42 and able to take decisions by myself.
Now only plain truth can save him from ban as wrote above. Third and last chance.

Maybe one chance was fair enough already ?

I find the story to be highly unlikely too. What was the motive to post the link? None. This is a shameful thing. I'd ban
him, because he is not being contrite whatsoever.

Hmm, I was asked for a link via PM on the M6 forums. I refused, because Dan had made it quite clear that he did not
want it generally released.. To publish the link in a public forum, and then make up the most hilarious excuse as to how it
happened is way beyond common disrespect. Dan, as he has basically chosen to "give you the finger", I'd return the favour and
ban him. (And lilygirl555 if "she" is a member here.)

Actually, he'll be lucky if he isn't banned from M6 as well since that is where he posted the link under a phony alias.
That's up to the M6 mods, though.

I say make him walk the plank......in other words, kick him off the ISS (toward the Earth, of course), with no turbo
pack but plenty of oxygen so he'll be alive when he reenters the atmosphere...or you could just ban him.  Your choice,
Dan

Ive seen you make quite good calls before dan so I look forward to you taking action on this matter. I also suggest removing
this topic just like the M6 one was removed.

Frankly this scumbag is only the tip of the iceberg. I am very saddened to see the community is such shambles and the
Orbiter Forums main forum sounding more and more like a "Orbiter Myspace" Im my opinion Myspace has ruined the net.

Dan you ought to see the leaks in the HL2 scene. They can get downright vicious (the time GE:S was leaked)

Sorry to see this scumbag do this to you when you work hard on this with that leg! I thank you for your efforts and greatly
look forward to DGIV

Dan is right to dump him.

Trust was broken.  Trust for somebody who has worked long and hard for the Orbiter community and given pleasure to many, many people.

And then the most hilarious lie I ever saw!

Key questions for me are:

How did his girl know about the Orbiter Forum?  What motive would she have to post it there?  What was he doing taking a shower when his girlfriend was in the house?  Why did he leave her alone when he was taking a shower? Why was he showering for so long?  ;-)
