compatibility issue with space elevator addon: as soon as i released the DG4 the Gear and the hover doors broke. I think
because according to the mfds and orbiter, the dg4 just went from on the ground (with the gear down and hover doors on auto)
to geostationary orbit .
edit: found that if you use the lowest stop (1000km) then no bugs.

Maybe some kind of airbag is in order?

I swear Dan mentioned something about extra ejection fuel when landed for next version.

That helps how?

Ejection is the last things to do,there is plenty of situation where it's not safe in Space to eject.
Airbag are to heavy and can fail also, no way. To be 100% safe you just need to stay on ground ;)

32 bits in the Orbiter Launchpad gives me the same results as in Screenshot 1 in both windowed and fullscreen mode. If I set
my video card to 16 bits and leave Orbiter at 32 bits I get the results in Screenshot 2 in both windowed and fullscreen.

Hey Dan,

I think the DGIV is ready for release! It is the grandest of all Orbiter Addons! With luck, you'll be able to finish
Symphony IV and Relese both of them In time! Now that would be the ultimate "Orbinauts" paradise. :gift:

I think about driver problem then because DGIV doesn't have hand on drawing, it's plain GDI.
Maybe try to update the driver ?

I've seen a many times things like VCs not showing the MFDs and other stuff right when using 32bit on computer and
32bit on Orbiter and other settings like that.

Things you need to fix dan:
-Radiator deployment warning, Should say radiator deployed WARNING not radiator open WARNING
-G. On earth it is 1.00 g not 0g. it varies depenging on planet.
cant think of some more things dan should fix :(

More problems: When the age of one crew is set to 10 on the the config, the crw display says age: 20! wonder if that
is a bug

Yes, nice patches.  I think Dan decided that you have to be at least 20 to party responsibly in space, the G meter is in
additional G-forces, and english-wise, 'Radiator Deployed Warning' sounds a little odd to me.
Maybe 'Radiator Status Warning'?  or just 'Radiator Warning' for the sake of logical analysis?  'Radiator Open Warning'
doesn't sound too bad to me.

Looks like your altitude wasn't 17km for long...
It would be okay to go as high as 40km. Reduces air friction. Watch MapMFD to see where you might end up. Just get
altitude, get your predicted landing site to San Francisco, then either thrust past that and coast, thrust way past that
and do some banking at the end, or thrust in short burns to keep it on San Francisco. All methods work, but thrusting
past and banking is quickest.

Jer, you should use PRO110SPEC0 or ALT+5 key to engage Atmospheric Flight Autopilot.
Sadly, with this autopilot engaged, it is impossible to reach 40 Km high.
25km high is an economic way to flying. May be you could reach CSG !

Um, where did jer11 get on the beta team? Dan said that he would get jer on the gold beta team, but as far as I know, the
beta isn't gold yet. Unless that is a pre-closed beta version, I don't see how he got his hands it.

I haven't noticed any bugs here, other than those already mentioned. Autopilots work well in the Southern Hemisphere - this
isn't always the case with some other addons.

I'd have to say that the DGiv's autopilots would now allow almost anyone to climb in and fly away, as long as they can work
out how to program the AP..

On the whole, I'd say that the DGiv is looking good and fairly bug-free. Good work, Dan!

If APU is turned off while flying with an AP (and cutting all power) the level horizon/prograde/etc. light remains stuck on

He has a point, it seems that at this rate, it would likely be finished by sometime this week.

I don't know if this is reported yet, nor if it is a bug.

Situation:

-Docked in space at the iss, or any other ship.
-The pilot and the passengers have their suits on.
-Pressure in the DG IV is 0.00 Pa
-O2% is Zero
-The canopy is opened, no problem yet because there was no pressure nor oxigen.

Problem:

If you open both the pressure doors, nothing happens.
However, wouldn't this be a critical situation, because the iss is being depressurised and
is now vulnurable to bare space?

Great regards, snake.

Not Dan's fault. Unpausing causes a sudden jump. A sudden jump causes a lot of friction. A lot of friction causes a lot
of heat. A lot of heat causes burn-up.

What he means is that if you EVA *after* the remote thrust countdown has been started, the the engines don't fire. I can see
a situation where the DGIV develops a radiation leak for example. You might want to evacuate the DGIV quickly and make the
DGIV distance itself from, say, the ISS while you then EVA to the ISS.

[ED] BTW I tested this and the reported "bug" is correct.

I can see a situation where the guy press start countdown by accident and without noticing,
make some EVA and see his ship disappearing ;)

By security a DGIV don't fly by itself if the crew isn't aboard.
Almost as consistant as "radiation leak" so I'll leave this like that.

Thanks for report anyways,

Dan
