I reccently reinstalled a clean Orbiter 2006 P1 (v. 060929) and I started it up...everything worked
fine, except i forgot Dans Orbiter Sound Addon. I download it, install it, then start Orbiter back up again and it CTD's.
Reinstalled Orbiter Sound...same thing.

Anyways I looked at the logs for the programs and this is what I got:

Open the "start" menu, click on "execute", type dxdiag
use dxdiag to found what is the problem. I have good idea of what you should do, but my computer is in French, so it is hard
to explain.

In english versions of Windows the Start menu option you want is Run. And reason why OS might not work could be
that you do not have DirectX 8 installed. OS requires that atleast DirectX 8 is installed correctly.

If you do not have DX8 installed, OS will not work.
