Matthew, if you don't ask questions, how would you learn? While some questions might seem a little inane, sometimes the
question is on other peoples' mind and many can benefit from the answer. Sometimes it even helps reinforce a point that
someone who has been around for awhile might have forgotten. (you know ... out of the mouths of babes, thing)
I think the only questions people might have problems with are "stupid questions". What's a stupid question? Easy, it's one
you already know the answer to. We expand that slightly to also include questions for which the answer is in the Orbiter
manuals. You will know you have transgressed when you see "RTFM" (the polite way of saying this is "read the relevant
scripture" rather than "read the ... manual"). It really helps with Orbiter if you are literate. If you can't read the
manuals, it is OK to say that when you ask your question. No judgement against you for that. There are many around who cannot
read the manuals because English may be their second language (or third or fourth). That's why some kind souls have worked
very hard to translate the manuals into other languages. Also Orbiter can be quite math intensive. If you don't have the math
skills, yet, you'll have to ask the questions, won't you?
If anyone really thinks your question is either beyond credibility or beyond the pale, it is a simple matter to just not respond.
As for "tone it down" ... remember what I said about the smileys. That was only because I have to wait for reload times when
I want to see the following messages. Other than that, enthusiasm is good! Ignore him ... or me.
