I searched the forums and apparently this is a common problem on an "old" version. I downloaded the version available on the
main page, so I believe I have the most recent version of the DG-III. For hardware I've got:
AMD-64[939] 3600+
Nvidia Geforce 6800 GT 256 MB
2 gigs Corsair XMS RAM
2x120 gig HD on RAID-0
So I don't beleive it's a matter of limitations of the hardware, but a compatability issue is still possible.

Fixed, read down to the aptly named "!!!HELP ME!!!" post, and saw the solution therin.

For the benifit of future forum searches, the solution was to set the screen resolution to 1152 x 864

Well, that's a goofy "solution". Only the lower panel suffers. Martin replied to a post on the Orbiter forum, and said that
only the lower panels on ALL spacecraft use a "stretch blit" to render. The other panels render just fine on any resolution,
and the lower panel should do so as well :). It is not DanSteph's fault...
