*sigh*
You're both right and wrong. You're right that being a moderator sucks when you have to dismount the benevolent
high horse and actually DO your malevolent job (which on account of you guys I rarely have to), but you're wrong
about the correlations of force vs. troublemakes. No matter how restrictive the moderators are, there are always
trolls (check the M6 forum, hehe).. if you run a "tight shift" they are possibly even more tempted to challenge you,
just to be able to scream about their rights of speech being violated as was witnessed here also...
On the other hand, an overly restrictive moderator also kills the fun and "creative leeway" needed to keep a forum
going for the normal users. The preferable result is that the normal users think of the forum as am arena of free
expression (with certain common sense limitations) and the useless users to consider it a police state (with certain
common sense exceptions, like conforming to common sense limitations, hehe). We all win that way

All teamwork interactions require a certain amount of conformity, as repulsive as the concept may seem, otherwise
the benefits of teamwork are beyond reach by default. If the benefits don't outweigh the limitations, then the team
will of course break up. Since we're not making money or saving the world here -> big benefits, our only option is to
keep the limitations as low as possible.
