I thought i'dd just report this, but i the DGIII, whenever i engage the autopilot to go prograde, or orbit normal or
some other function, it indicates i have my main engines on, and is draining fuel at a rate of 10.0, when i turn the
autopilot of, the fuel consuption stops, i've had this 4 times now in the last 2 days, everytime i just undocked from
MIR and want to go orbit normal, and after 20 seconds of autopilot, my main tank is at 68% fuel :S

Maybe the autopilot flips the fuel dump switch?

Found !

You have the x-feed fuel button set to Main->RCS in the lower panel
in this case instead of taking 0.125 or such from RCS tank
it take 10.0 fuel from the main tanks.

This is because as soon as the level of the RCS tank is not full
x-feed start with a 10.0 fuel transfert but only 0.125 are really transfered
then some fuel is taken from RCS tank by the autopilot and the process restart
10.0 transfert from main etc etc.

Minor bug I would say, (your the first to report it) the solution is to not let X-Feed open
(Anyway if you don't transfert it's an error to keep it open)

I knew i did something wrong, and doing things wrong is something i was an expert at :P

but it's still a tiny bug right? :P i mean, is the RCS only uses 0.125 out of the 10 it transfers, what happens to the
other 9.750?

Finally i can get to mars :P

It floods the RCS engines, overpressurizing the tank, so you end up just squirting pure fuel out, instead of burning it,
and it is way less efficient.

Maybe it's just me, but I think this thread is hilarious! :)  Dan, I think we need a DG3 manufacturer's rep to answer
operators' questions! :)  I felt like I was listening to Airbus engineers answering an airline company engineer's
questions about proper A380's engine crossfeed operations.

Thing is That Dan's DG is very true to real life ( or as close as you can get )
there are a few switches that if used in the wrong sequence will drop you in the dirt
but then thats real life, the X-Feed is one of them along with the fuel dump.
I have the same thing in real life with my ship

( If you open the fuel lines to quick, the extra fuel is just pumped out through the exhust with no extra speed and
results in black smoke,  )  It takes me half an hour to bring the engines from Half ahead to full speed without wasting
fuel ) half ahead = 208 litres per hour / full ahead = 320 litres per hour, so if you run the gas right up to the stop from
half ahead thats a lot of fuel wasted,  .........
