Trying to get into orbit with both DGIII in "The tranworld express company.scn"
taking off with both and activating pro903spec42
(there are about 30sec between both take-off's)

the turn to heading 42° takes a long time and at an altitude of
around 30km they both start to  pitch and yaw and rotate wildly

Is it possible to get them both into orbit at the same time or is that
"normal" behaviour im seeing here?

thanks for your input

kind regards
Andy :-)

Orbiter version is 050126 , same for DGIII and Orbitersound 3.0

all the DGIII share ascent autopilot data this is why when you
run both in same time it goes wild.
(I forgeted this old "bug" this is why I didn't updated it)

What you can do is to set one on ascent autopilot and chase
it manually with the other DGIII.

I take it that it is impossible to start a scenario with a DGIII in autopilot, right? If you could then we could
have 'search and destroy/dock' missions for it. Unfortunately it would mean lots of codeing because you'd have to
find a way of putting the autopilot into the scenario file.

Sorry, this post isn't totally on topic with this thread, but it was a thought still. ;)

You can do this with RedShift.. Assuming it works under the current version.

Or.. perhaps you could have each DG run a different ascent program.. PRO 903 and PRO 904 for example, but they
would have the same data. Dan?

That would not do the job I'm affraid, all the DGIII share the same data structure
were they save their ascent data. This is dated from the time were it was impossible
to run two DGII ,  since I upgraded it so they only have private data but I forgot
the ascent data in the process.

Andy, it's your day of luck :)

I just reworked the autopilot data and removed the last trace of
shared variable beetween two DGIII... this mean that now you can launch
two DGIII with ascent autopilot. (see my new post)

Hello to Dananglophone guys...

It's a little Off Topic...but i saw it is possible to give two different skins in the same scénario for two DGIII...
I never tried this because I don't know how to do it... PPFFFF.....

And I didn't dare to ask for it...... :stupid:

Just set the DG3Config to "skin set by scenario"
than you have a litle extra work in the scenario himself.

For each DGIII you have a "MeshSkin " parameter that will set wich skin it use
in this case:

GL-01:DeltaGliderIII
...
MeshSkin DeltaGliderIIITransworld

GL-Rescue:DeltaGliderIII
...
MeshSkin DeltaGliderIIIMedical

You can find the name to put here in the "meshes" folder of Orbiter just look the name
that start with "DeltaGliderIII..."

Hope it help ?

It's not a patch, it's a release ;)

And luckily you can still use only one hand to count them,
basically thumb, index and another one of your choice.

Peoples confident with math will not have pain with that :)

Dan, you know your marvalous install programs for the DGIII and OS, right? Well, I find it pointless that I have to
re-do the config every time there is an update. Is there a file somewhere containing config settings?

(stupid question :wall:  )

How about: Where is the file with the config data? I'm guessing its somewhere in sound and will look for it now.

Duh, found it! It's the config.cfg in sound! Almost obvious. Maybe you can add a 'keep old settings' to your install
programs Dan.

It was so simple...
Do you know what the key "S" is for me?
